Speak for yourself man! Because there are several child molesters out there (old baba them) who never watch porn but still molest kids. On the other hand, there are so many other ones out there who watch porn regularly but have never ràped nor molested any one before. Do you know that most of these rapè/molestation cases are usually recorded from men who don't have access to the internet, that is, men who are either old or do menial jobs for a living? So if they don't watch porn, how come they still molest people? Haven't you heard of cases where the so called "pastors" molest women? So the fact is, rapè/molestation is not triggered by porn but rather by some foolish idîots inability to control their sexual desires. 1 Like 1 Share |

The proposal of this motion was based on moral and religious justification. I do not have a problem with the moral point of view, what I fault is the religious angle. No Nigerian should ever support this type of bill. This was how the year 2000 riots broke out in Kaduna. It was because of religious misunderstanding among peaceful Nigerians. Our legislators need to find better reasons for justifying bills and stop playing the card of religion. There are better options that can be exploited like access restriction /security checks for kids below certain age. or legislating exposing children to porn a punishable crime of some sort. Those who refuse to learn from history are bound to repeat it. |

I can see that pornography has adverse effects on you right? Have you rapèd someone before as a result of watching porn? If you have, then I'd understand the angle you're coming from. As for me, I've been with several girls nàked, without having sex with them and I never rapèd them. If a nàked girl being with me in a room wouldn't prompt me into ràpè, then I believe that every right thinking human shouldn't be forced into ràpe by watching ordinary porn. Now on the issue of what porn has contributed to our economy, I can tell you that porn hasn't contributed anything but let us analyse this from another angle, are we better of economically when compared to countries that have the freedom to consume pornography? Is pornography the most pressing issue rather than the fools to reduce their bogus allowances and cut cost of governance? Is pornography the most pressing issue when we're being terrorised by boko haram, herdsmen, armed robbers, policemen, etc? Is pornography the most pressing issue when our economy is nose diving while businesses are shutting down and numerous people loosing their jobs? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

francizy: Tell them ooooo!!! They keep deliberating over trivial and myopic issues that have no economic importance. Most of these so called senators are busy sleeping around with girls thier daughters age. Yet they have the effontery to raise such issues. There are more pressing issues but ofcos they are too dumb to think. Rather than discuss plans for education and the budget allocation for it every year and looking for ways to revamp the sector, they would rather propose a N5,000 salary for unemployed youths. Thank goodness the bill was'nt passed. Its really appallling that grown up men cant distinguish between MORAL issues and issues of NATIONAL INTEREST. 2 Likes 1 Share |
