There is ongoing massive protest by the
youths of Ikwerre, Okrika, Ogoni, Eleme
in Port Harcourt demanding for the
immediate and unconditional release of
the Radio Biafra director Nnamdi Kanu.
According to News at 1pm by Nigeria Info
FM92.3 Port Harcourt, most protesters
are local indigenous Rivers people and
the station even went ahead to air on the
spot interviews of them where they
clearly said Biafra isn’t about Igbos, that
Igbos are one of many ethnic groups in
the country of Biafra. According to one of
the protesters from Okirika:
“Nigeria expired in 2013 and our new
nation Biafra has come to be.” They also
threaten to shut down every form of oil
production in the state if after 7 Days
Nnamdi Kanu is not released.
