Our fore fathers practised a whole range of things and sacrificed humans, virgin girls slaves and a range of traditional things. Do that today and you will rot in jail. Time has moved on and there is nothing foreign in religion. Chrisitianity isnt a thing of the west as the first followers of christ were jews and in the middle east.
why do we accept science and practicse science i guess that is foreign to africa as well, why do we use hospitals, live in modern houses and not huts etc .

The people whose religion you borrowed have a ''holy book'' FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH MASS MURDER, HUMAN SACRIFICE, RA.PE, INCLUDING MASS RAP.E, AND INFANTICIDE AMONG OTHER ATROCITIES ORDERED BY THEIR TRIBAL DEITY, yet those people were able to 'modernise' that same religion, ''whitewash'' it and hand it to you as ''holy''. ''The word of God'' no less.

Why can't you do the same with YOUR traditional religion, INSTEAD OF BEING A SHAMELESS, INFERIORIZED COPYCAT WITH NO SENSE OF DIGNITY OR INDEPENDENCE?

The south is more populated than the north in real figures
There are more Christians in the south
Many northern states like Kogi,Benue,Kaduna,Plateau former gongola have a sizeable Christian population
There are more Christians than Muslims in Nigeria
Don't mind the falsified figures by the "owners of Nigeria"
remember that Kano is supposedly more populated than Lagos state

Have u considered the huge Christian population in the north?

Check these middle beltan states like: Plateu, Benue, Nassarawa, Niger, Adamawa even some places like Kaduna south etc, in fact, don't be deceived, there is a huge Christian population in every nothern state, not to talk of the middle belts who have Christian majority. Unlike the south that only have muslim's population down the Swest, the rest of the south are almost 99percent Christians ( SS & SE ) and remember that the SW is almost the home of Christianity in Africa, cause that's where we have some of the largest churches and congregations in the world.

So if u consider all these, u will realise that this statistic is very wrong, some of us have know this for long, that's why u will see that the northerners are not always comfortable with census, they will always look for way to manipulate it so they can portray Nigeria as a muslim's country, that's a very big lie.

Why do u think they want to systematically reduce Christian population in the north?

Pls wake up don't deceive yourself, muslims are not more than Christians in Nigeria!!!!

Christians 45%- Fully Practicing 10% , Practicing but in denial 20% , Atheist bearing Christianity for fear of social and family pressure 15%
Islam 40%-Fully practicing (sunnah or shia) 35% , Practicing fairly 3% , Just bearing Islam 2%
Others( Judaism, traditional , etc) 10%
Full Atheists ( 5%)

Nigerians seem to be very receptive of "foreign" religions. Islam,Christianity,Budhism,Hinduism,name them; are all borrowed religions.Why can't we practise something that was originally handed down to us by our ancestors?

Religion will not take us to Heaven; our virtuous will.Lets try and be good and shun 'borrowed' religions. Afterall,these foreign religions are only introduced to suit followers located in a particular geographical entity (Arabia, Middle-east,India,China,etc).
