Federal high court sitting in Makurdi yesterday
ordered INEC to withdraw the certificate of
return it previously issued to Hon. Terkimbir
Ikyange the speaker Benue house of assembly
who is representing the people of Ushongo in
state house of Assembly, and also ordered
INEC to conduct fresh Elections within 90 days
in Ushongo and Mbagwa state Constituencies.
It will be recalled that the court previously
ruled in favour of having two constituencies in
Ushongo LGA but INEC overlooked the verdict
of the court, and went ahead to conduct
elections in only one constituency.
