In what looks like a subtle protest against Biafrans and the illegal detainment of Radio Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, British largest carriers, Virgin Atlantic, has reportedly laid off all the Nigerian members of the Cabin Crew. The development was made known through the emails sent to the affected persons by the authority of the airways owned by Richard Branson. It’s been gathered that the Nigerian staff were allegedly given three weeks notice without any severance package. About 20 air- hostesses were among the recently laid-off staff members. Last year, the airline shut down their Nigerian call centre and laid off all the Nigerian staff in a similar manner. Branson had at some point said he was weary about doing business in Nigeria, although the reason behind the most recent development has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report. In can be recalled that earlier this year Branson took to twitter in remembrance of the genocide and starvation of innocent Biafran men, women and children. The Virgin billionaire also dedicated a full page on the virgin website to remind the world about the terrible tragedy and crime against humanity committed against Biafrans by the Nigerian military junta. This incredible but heart warming gesture by Branson for the Biafran people and struggle can be see in th As tension, the talk of secession, and the effects shattered economy increases, more foreign investors are said to be preparing to pack up and go elsewhere citing insecurity and a hostile government is to risky for business. The whereabouts and condition of Radio Biafra Director and IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is still unknown. Richard Branson may be the least to worry about in terms of support for the lease of Nnamdi Kanu for the case taken the the ICC by a Dutch lawyer.
