Is there any sane reason why these containers are not bound and restricted to moving only in the night?
At least we could minimize such stories that touch.
After all fixing the rails will not be a 2 months project. Will we all die before then?
Re: Container Falls On A Toyota Hiace Bus Along Ilasa-Oshodi Expressway (Pictured) by father042: 4:24pm On Nov 24, 2015
I don't know why containers are driven by road to the consignee. In most African countries, container are stripped to other lorries and if the content is a vehicle,it will be driven home to the consignee from the port. See consignment from cotonou, they have been stripped from the container.

I don't know why our government think with their feet, this container issue needs a drastic solution away from the conventional way of doing things, after the ban ambode issued has it stopped container falling? have traffic left a papa road?

it is high time we start looking at alternative means of transporting goods away from the roads, Lagos roads ate too congested, poor railway system, that fashola then issued a cable car contract that has not seen the light of the day, corrupt mofo that does not sign cheque. it so damn pathetic

RIP to the dead anyway and my deepest condolences to their relatives

Lagos state need prayer.... Nigeria as a whole tho

j

God does not answer the prayers which are the full responsibility of the Government.

When you have an irresponsible government who don't regard life as any thing then you want God to send angels to do the work of man.

I mean what for Christ sake is wrong with nigeria that is not the fault of a man some where.

I see containers falling every day on NL is it God that is to blame.

My brother let not spiritualize every thing.

God has played his part and he has given every human been free will.

We are the course of what we are doing to oir selves.

If all lagosians stand dir ground and beat any tralier driver that drives during the day then am sure the goverment will seat up.

Haha. Kilode naa.

Must people always die clearlessly in nigeria.

Can we learn from other countries.

And please for those who are informed on political matters i would like to what does it take to send an irresponsible governor parking.

Please.

If ambode is not competent let's take him out before every where in Lagos becomes a potential death trap.

Rubbish

angrySaying the road is on a deplorable state is an understatement, until people start dying before they (govt) will look into it. I just pray this doesn't repeat itself

Nonsense, Ive been tweeting @Akinwunmiambode and @Mbuhari since on twitter that between Ilasa and Ballet bus stop along Mile2 Oshodi express way road is very bad. The bad state of the road causes constant traffic. This is the second time this week that such is happening. That container fell because the road is very bad. Another soul gone because of an irresponsible and sluggish government characterized by weak institutions and poor infrastructural facilities. It is well.

The solution to this should be for govt to revive our railways so that heavy cargoes can be moved through there

Bro, we are still in Nigeria. Railway that GEJ tried to revive. Power has changed hands, so is policy trust. Trains do not ply anymore..

Tell me why such heavy duty trucks should move in day time especially this container trucks.

The fact that these types of accident keep on happening shows how useless FRSC and the government, by extension is.
Re: Container Falls On A Toyota Hiace Bus Along Ilasa-Oshodi Expressway (Pictured) by olamkas: 6:03pm On Nov 24, 2015
The container fell due to the state of the road which is very bad. I passed by the incident and could clearly see how it positioned.
Just a few minutes drive from the spot, another 20ft container fell luckily not on any vehicle. The road there is just tooooo bad. Chances of container falling there is so high especially at night when visibility is lowered.
Re: Container Falls On A Toyota Hiace Bus Along Ilasa-Oshodi Expressway (Pictured) by just2endowed: 6:15pm On Nov 24, 2015
This is the reality in Lagos state and the governor is sitting there doing absolutely nothing. The federal government are to blame too coz the road as u can see Is very bad and that results to the trailer falling.

. That is d best solution if d government refuse to repair all our highways. We are charge for roadworthyness for every motor but the roads are not worthy, It is high time we stand up through our lawyers to fight for us so government will pay for road that is not worthy or stop d payment.

i saw that container, but knew it crushed a vehicle til now. it's very pathetic the kind of sad news we hear from Nigeria every day, why can't we do the right thing for once. Am sure that driver knew d condition of that truck and the road, yet decided to manage, now lives have been lost... So sad
