Infrastructural projects in their country abi Nigeria?

Who really benefits in the long run?

Think brother, think!

Yes infrastructure project in Nigeria. The meeting is to be held on a sidelined on the ongoing Africa-Chinese trade summit in South Africa. Chinese are the highest investors in Africa.

its a shame that another president from China didn't deem it fit yo visit Nigeria rather he went to SA and our own jets out to go and meet him there for discussions.

The question is are we now a beggarly nation without dignity that we must jump at any and every opportunity to travel. This is a complex situation.

Low self-esteem is touring the globe seeking 'foreign support'.

Common sense is kick starting a clear cut growth plan and have 'foreign support' jostle to cash in.

Think brother, think!

Get over it GEJ has lost out and kept this county the way it is. By now you wailers should have kept quiet with sober reflection on how $2.1 billion can have wings. If GEJ and his cohorts didn't mismage our economy. Baba won't be travelling this way. You call him low esteem yet you think he is jostling for foreign , how shallow can that be.

Ya'll insulting and criticizing Mr. President for
the foreign travels, lemme ask u these
questions. Is Muhammadu Buhari traveling to
make Nigeria a better place or is he traveling
for holidays? Do I need to open ur skull to let u
know that Nigeria's image was soo battered
under the last administration that even
Morocco refused to receive a call from our
president? This man is putting his life on the
line jetting around the globe to ensure things
get better and all u can do is insult and criticize
him? Or u think he doesn't have a lovely family
he leaves behind to try and bring about
Change? In d last 6 days, this man has spent
less than 48 hours with his family and the only
way u can appreciate him is through insults and
criticism?
Don't mind them some of them don't know anything but some knows they just like to insults and criticizing.
I wish mr president long life and success

Good move oo. But shouldnt it be the other way round?
Nigeria should be hosting this summit giving the size of our economy. Its a slight for president Buhari to be going to SouthAfrica to negotiate loans for Africa's largest economy and most important country. He should be hosting the Chinese president and other African presidents coming to Abuja. Thats how you put your nation and government in the map and bring respect and influence and importance to it.
I thought Buhari is experienced enough to know this.
When will our leaders have a true sense of national pride? Nigeria should be the host of most economic summits on this continent. Our politicians cant see beyong local politics and witchhunting, while selling Nigeria's place on the continent to lesser countries.

Nice observation, but this is a submit that would have been fixed way before he became a President.

All the wailers here insulting Buhari are nothing but enemies to Nigeria. Their personal aggrandizement is more important to the future of this nation. Their hero GEJ with all the money Nigeria got during the oil boom left all most all the Federal road unpasable. Do you lots know how many Nigerians that have died by road accidents?

A President trying to write the wrong right for some time have been travelling on behalf including this laudable one of linking for the first time by rail to be funded fully by the Chinese government. So you lots are saying Buhari shouldn't meet his Chinese counterpart? If some miscreants that call themselves want a county, they should do the needful, invite UN for a referendum cos Nigeria won't do that as a President he swore an oath to protect the territory of this nation and if any wailer doesn't like i . The being should go on exile. This county must be great.

And what is an Investor's primary goal for an investment?

No doubt the Chinese are great, the ish here is PMB's approach to FDI. It's not by gra-gra and sucking up.

If the economy is up. And running at premium, don't u think dis gives us greater bargaining power?

Running to these countries so early leaves us at their mercy.

The keywords- 'SO EARLY'. 'APPROACH'

Kai! This is so disgraceful, so undermining and so condescending.
How can a foolish president be running to beg another President who doesn't even have his time like a BEGGAR, in a Nation he tries to frustrate too.
This dullard keeps disgracing and insulting what ever is left in our honour.
I trust SA, they will give him the MTN and SHOPRITE treatment

Some people will prefer he sits in Aso Rock and summon the Chinese President just because some people decides to protest the incarceration of someone accused of treasonable offence. They keep proving him right and putting him into further trouble.

Nigeria will be great either Biafra joins in building it or not. It will only be for their own good if they join hands in building the country instead of going against it at this crucial time.

History won't judge them right if they refuse to and they and their grand children will forever regret it.

You guys continue threatening our unborn kids and wish we negotiate with you?

No one ever fully cooperates with a gun to his head. I was vehemently against Biafra but with the mirage of threats on Nairaland, I am having a deep rethink

Bros seriously that is not a threat but a statement of FACT.

The truth that every enlightened Nigerian knows is that standard of living is poor in SE. This shouldn't be in a hard working and innovative tribe. Forget the crime issue. Everyone knows your people are truly hard working which shouldn't be for a hard working tribe. The only thing lacking is the diplomacy to know when to act, what to act on and how to act.

What is happening in the SE is very unfortunate but it is common knowledge that it is as a result of the tribes inability to politically recover from what happened some forty something years ago. It is no ones fault that the tribe keeps miscalculating politically.

This same political miscalculation happened during the last election. It is still happening now with the secession protests. Whether we like to accept or not, it will not succeed and It will definitely have its consequences(politically) in the future whether we like to accept or not.

The actions of the past leaders that started the secessionist movement is what is telling on their present offsprings. Even if the tribe gets their acts right do you think others will ever trust a people who doesn't believe in the country to lead.

The way forward is to restrategise politically and forge a formidable and trust worthy front. Whatever happened to APGA. Can the capitulation of APGA also be attributed to the wrong notion of "marginalisation"

You talked about the @bold. My broda it is your people that is holding guns to our head with your threats of secession while also calling for fiscal federalism and political inclusion but it was still your people that truncated a similar arrangement before the civil war.

The fact is that people forgive and forget but history does not.

Its obvious the Igbos hate everyone and everything that goes against their wish.

Its about time you did some introspection rather than finger pointing.

Even if your assertion is true, why don't you ask yourself that why is that so?

Why did they hate us so much? Are we the only tribe in Nigeria?

Why didn't the Yorubas or hausas choose to hate the Ighalas, the Tivs, the Ijaw, the Benin, the Itsekiri, the Urhobo? Why don't they even hate each other.

Why is it only the Igbos?

The fact is that no tribe really likes the other it just a matter of mutual respect and respect is earned not demanded.

Even by your statement it says a lot about the thinking of Igbos. The victim thinking.

If everyone hates the Igbo like you said, how come Igbos are the only tribe you see in almost every village in the country. Even in remote villages in the north and the SW, they are there owning properties and businesses without harassment.
