Wow this is an intelligence piece, I've always says it I don't know that the set of igbo people I met on nairaland existed I mean full of hatred for other people to the point of wishing them death and destruction. When I was in Nigeria igbo man is my best pastor my brother and a mentor, now I live in uk igbo man is my best pastor and a role model in the person of pastor Jerome anekwe, another 4 igbo guys taught me foreign exchange that is presently my full time job. I mean all igbo people I've been privileged to associate with are selfless, intelligent, people. Thank u op for this brilliant piece it will help a lot of people to know that not all igbos are like the ones on nairaland and iPod .

Biafra is a new state of mind, a new structure, a different constitution and most definitely a different way of doing things. The offensive Nigerian odour and dirt will be washed off. Mekaboy you hit it head on. Alot of your folks will call you unprintable names because of this. But the truth is they are as vulnerable as u aptly describe them. They call Nigeria a zoo as if there will be no leaders in their biafra. As if there will be no boundaries in biafra. They talk about biafra like money will grow on trees. The truth is the igbos have to do their own soul search before they point fingers at others. Every politician be it igbo or any other tribe is selfish. The northern and Yoruba elites also marginalised their pple too. The igbos have held powerful positions in this country but a few lazy bones here and there will rather blame a man who is just 6mnths old in power. If you think you are a victim ask yourself who is victimizing u. I tell you if u losehope in Nigeria u will also lose hope in biafra when and if it eventually comes. Befor you became a Nigerian you where first an igbo man. THINK PEOPLE.
Befor you kill me with bashing Pls tell us how the biafra you so craved for will be different from the Nigeria of today in terms of political structure, boundaries, leaders etc.

I think Nnamdi kanu should either be executed or allowed to rot in jail. To me, I believe Nnamdi Kanu is influenced by a demon aimed at destroying the Igbo people.

He wakes up one day and out of his imagination, wants to sink the Igbos. To lead the igbos to the middle or nowhere and abandon them.

We all know that igbos are hardworking and independent people. Igbos are creative and can make something out of Nothing. Even after millions of igbos were killed in the biafran war, look at what we have become today. Imagine were the igbos would have been today if the millions of igbos were not killed. But today I am igbo and proud of how far we have come. Any other tribe faced with what we faced would have gone into extinction or become slaves to other tribes in Nigeria today. But igbos picked up what was left and have become great and a people greatly envied today.

Even with marginalisation in the country, the igbos continue to grow stronger.

After the igbos have spread their roots all over the country and are flourishing, one man wakes up from the United Kingdom to cut down the blossoming igbo tree based on his wishful thinking.

He understands the hardship and unemployment situation in the country, and is taking advantage of it to possess misguided, frustrated , uneducated and jobless igbo youths with the evil spirit that possesses him.

He intends to destroy the creativity ,hard work and independent spirit of igbos by filling their hearts with bitterness and hatred for other tribes.

This bitterness grows like a cancer within them and swallow their creativity.

He now gives these igbos the victim mentality. With this victim mentality the igbos move from thinking of ways to solve problems we created for ourselves, to seeing others as the cause of our problems. As long as we see other people as the cause of our problems, we transfer the responsibility of finding solutions to others.

It is like somebody whose car engine oil is leaking blaming the person who washed outside his car for the poor performance of his car. He says the car was not washed clean, that's why it's not moving well.

Even after he moved the car to another car wash (biafra) and the car is washed clean, the engine will still knock. This is because there is no oil within the engine.

I watched an interview of some biafran protesters n channels tv. One of them said things are hard, nothing is working in this country, the youths are suffering. Therefore he wants Nnamdi kanu their master released. I asked myself, how will the release of nnamdi kanu change his economic circumstance.?

It's clear that these protesters are confused and frustrated. They just need someone that will feel their hearts with hatred and bitterness. Someone that will tell them that the hausa and yorubas are the reason for their suffering. Someone that will give them a false hope, that all their problems will be solved once biafra comes.

Forgeting that if the igbos governors senators, house of rep members have not looted funds meant for the people, maybe their life would have been better.

If the local govt chairmen have not used money meant for the people to buy houses abroad, maybe their lives would have been better. But it feels better to blame the hausa and yorubas.

As long as the igbo politicians who have a looted funds meant for them, give them some peanut and tell them they support biafra, they become saints.

My people say, " oby oke no na uno , gwara oke no na ilo na azu Di nuno.

It is the rat at home that tells the one outside that there is fish at home. Igbos cannot be marginalised without an igbo man at the top selling out the igbos for selfish gain.

How come igbos don't trust each other? How come igbos move around freely in other parts of Nigeria but need police escorts to visit their home? Is it the yorubas and hausa in igbo land that they are afraid of?

I can count at least 10 igbo multi millionaires that have been assassinated in igboland by their own people. And during their burial, you will hear igbos saying if he knew he would have stayed back in lagos or abuja where he is based. Why did he come home to die.?

Why are igbos into one man business? Why will an igbo man be bringing in over 10000 container loads of a particular product from China in a year, when 2 or 3 business men who import the same product can put resources together and build a factory that produces the item they all import in Nigeria. ? Bring in those Chinese people to work and train the locals in manufacturing.

They won't do it, because the want to be worshiped. They want to be only and highest importer of a product he can produce in Nigeria.

Tomorrow they will be angry with dangote and want to burn his trucks when they can all invest in ibeto to increase their capacity to produce more. But ibeto will want to have his cement plant to himself than have other igbos invest in it. This is a problem of trust.

A governor will bring in a foriegn company, give them land, then use state funds to acquire 60% shares in the company for him and his family alone. Why not open the investment up for other igbos to invest and increase the capacity.?

I will use SABMiller in anambra state and orient petroleum as an example under Peter obi. Others will include mining companies in ebonyi state.

Do we blame the hausa and yorubas for our selfishness? or do we blame them for spending billions to build the biggest house in the village, which we stay in once or twice a year?

Why don't we use that money we use in building gigantic houses in the village that we don't stay in to build factories to employ our youths?

A friend of mine was coming back during the protest at the Niger bridge. His car was nearly burnt because he was carrying an hausa mobile police man. They beat him up, smashed his car and collected money from him after he pleaded with them in igbo. Are these the people we will leave with in Biafra?

Assuming they succeed in this biafra, what position will these touts be rewarded with? Governors, ministers or what?

How many young igbos have died in the process of this madness? what has nnamdi kanu done for the welfare of their families?

Where was was kanu and his people when our governors steal state funds to buy properties abroad? Depriving the people of their basic needs? He won't see that as a problem, rather he will choose to focus on hausa and yoruba.

Nnamdi kanu is possessed with an evil spirit aimed at destroying the igbos.

So after investing in places where we generate our income from, we will now need visa to stay in lagos or abuja where we own properties?

Or we will need work and business permits to do business in lagos where we own companies?

I have said it before and I will say it again. Igbos do not need biafra as a country, but biafra as an ideology.

Where by what ever you do anywhere , you must help your people irrespective of which part of igboland they come from.

Always bring out a percentage of the profit you make for a collective investment to develop our region. Be at peace with people from other tribes to grow your business .

Contribute your best to the development of Nigeria while u collectively return your returns for collective development of igbo land. Governors should invest strategically rather than compete with one another.

This is the Biafra of my dreams. A biafra where igbos contribute resources to give loans to youths to start up businesses without interest. A biafra where anambra, Enugu ebonyi will contribute resources to fix a road in abia and collect a token for years. As long as it improves the region's economy.

We don't need to hate hausa and yorubas to move forward. We can peacefully transform our region together into whatever we want it to be. We have the solution to our problems.

Finally, Nnamdi kanu, ogaghi adiri gi na mma. It will not be well with you, for taking advantage of the economic situation of the youths in the region caused by the corrupt igbo politicians , to brainwash them and impact hatred and victim mentality on them through your evil radio station. The blood of eve
ry single igbo who have died as a result or your radio broadcast will hunt u forever.
I always end reading any anti BIAFRA article once the writer calls IPOB or MASSOB jobless tout one of us can feed you and your generation

the problem are our leaders, not our diversity. America is a country of so many nations/races, yet they live in peace. Thinking biafra will be an utopia is really funny. A region where we are already seeing people shouting down on those that don't hold the biafran believe to the extent of questioning their ancestral roots can never be peaceful. We've seen them label objective and reasonable ibos as yorubas just cos they questioned biafra. A tribe that is willing to take confrontations to yoruba land in the name of protest can never know peace alone.

learn a lesson today, never kill a man who introduced an ideology, the death of that man will not end the ideology. it will only make the ideology well-known and consider the man a martyr.

If you check the list of all the people who were killed due to the ideology they introduced to this world, you will see and unending devotion towards that ideology.

the death of our Lord Jesus did not kill the ideology of christianity. it only aided the ministry.
the death of the first bokoharam leader did not kill the ideology of the bokoharam, it only spurred it.

the war against ideology is not fought with the sword. it is only fought with superior ideology but the worst part is that, the nigerian government do not have the superior ideology to bring down this uprising.

i think the future is here.

You keep mentioning South Sudan all the time. It's becoming irritating.... And who told you Nigeria currently is any way better than South Sudan? Nigeria is more of a failed state than South Sudan. How about Eritrea? How about Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Slovenia, Slovakia... The list is endless. These are all breakaway states. Are they not doing well? I don't want to hear South Sudan again?

If after 100 years and we're still in this sorry state, don't you think we need to go back to the foundations. Nigeria can NEVER work as presently constituted and needs to be dismantled. The entity must be renegotiated. If Nigeria must remain as one, it should not be under the same terms that failed collosally after 100 years of experimenting.

in your liverpool FC analogy, you claim the team is doing well cos they now have a new manager, hence biafra will work cos you will be having a new manager.

Restructuring Nigeria will not happen, so long as the people/region(s) benefiting from the status quo are alive.

But restructuring Igboland land is very feasible, important and it is what we owe [to] ourselves.

Our immediate problem is ourselves (politicians, esp. Governors) and not Hausa, Yoruba etc

Biafra is in the Blood. Let it drive the development of Igboland.

The blood of every single igbo who have died as a result or your radio broadcast will hunt u forever.

100% anti-Igbo
100% myopic
100% selfish
100% uninformed
100% WRONG

I guess your one of kanus brainwashed disciples of hatred. from the illustration I gave about the car wash and engine answers your question.

The restructuring of Nigeria is the external issue, what is affecting us is the internal issues.

Is the restructuring of Nigeria the reason a local govt chairman will have properties abroad while the people don't have drinking water in the local govt?

Do not worry about Mr Kanu

He knows what he is doing

The aim is the total and complete destruction of the British slave camp "Nigga area" aka Nigeria
And he and the IPob are on course to do that

The trap he set through his arrest is probably part of the strategy

those countries are majorly european nations where sanity works. We all know african leaders get power drunk and lose focus. Where is eritrea in the scheme of things today?

in your liverpool FC analogy, you claim the team is doing well cos they now have a new manager, hence biafra will work cos you will be having a new manager.

Why not work with nigeria who now has a new manager who is willing to fight corruption which is the bane of our existence? Did any of the liverpool players leave before the team became good? No! So, why don't you remain and make things work?

Ok, you want to leave cos GEJ lost an election. grin

You want Biafrans to work with an islamic terrorist and killer whose aim is to totally kill and anahilate them and any other person who he and his fellow muslims consider as "infidels"

Sorry
That cannot happen

learn a lesson today, never kill a man who introduced an ideology, the death of that man will not end the ideology. it will only make the ideology well-known and consider the man a martyr.

What ideology? To insult people from other tribes? To blame people from other tribes for all your problems while u overlook the corruption at your backyard?
