SA 2010 WCQ: Nigeria(3) Vs Kenya(0) On Sunday 7th June by Cristalz(f): 10:02am On Jun 01, 2009 |
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host Kenya at the Abuja National Stadium, Abuja, on Sunday 7th June '09 as they continue their journey to South Africa 2010. Let's hope they can get to their destination. The Super Eagles will be playing an international friendly against France on the 2nd (tomorrow), and their performance in that game will go some way in predicting what the outcome of this game will be. Judging from the friendly against Ireland however, the Super Eagles are by no means fully ready for the World Cup, especially when one considers the fact that countries like Spain, Argentina, Italy, etc will feature. Amodu seemed to have no plot in the match against the Irish. Perhaps he will improve this time. . . The Kenyan National team lost their last two 2010 qualifying matches. . .no guarantees that they will put up a better performance against the Eagles. Still, they just might. Both sides need all the points they can get, as Tunisia already lead the group table with 3 points; Nigeria and Mozambique have a point each, and Kenya are with 0 points. Drop your thoughts, comments and analyses, good people of Africa. |

The match against France will show how good or weak these guys really are but if we are to use the same B-team, then. . .hmmmm yawa go gas ooh! |

Hmm. Anything can happen. If Chicken Eagle wins, I will appreciate God as the doer. If they do otherwise, I will Support Spain in the World Cup. If Eagles choose to be sadist, I will take solace in my blood brothers, Torres, Alonso, Pepe Reina, Riera and Arbeloa. With them in SA, i will be consoled. Because we never walk alone. If my step brothers, Xavi Hernandez, Iniesta, Cassilas, and David Villa are on the pitch, I will completely forget whether Super Eagle exists. No Siasia, no world cup ticket. |

The Abuja national stadium has become like a fortress for the national eagles of late and want to believe that we will have a good run against the Kenyans so i expect us to win because they will use high altitudes and temperature against us when we get to their home |

Living here in Wash, DC. Can anybody direct me to a website or a cable channel where the game can be watched? What about the Naija channel on Comcast? |
Re: SA 2010 WCQ: Nigeria(3) Vs Kenya(0) On Sunday 7th June by Cristalz(f): 6:26pm On Jun 02, 2009 |
@Nwazo It's okay. The money thing is the Naija way. I guess it's going to be $80,000 each for a win against Tunisia. |

Cristalz: Imagine, I remember when George Weah used to practically sponsor the whole Liberian team. These guys have to be virtually bribed to play lol "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves" Luv it, sounds like something from an action feem I'd luv to watch |

Redondo: I usually catch football matches they don't show on the Telly here on JustinTV. They might probably have some streams up of the Naija match on Sunday. Here's their link: http://www.justin.tv/directory/sports |
Re: SA 2010 WCQ: Nigeria(3) Vs Kenya(0) On Sunday 7th June by Redondo: 6:56pm On Jun 02, 2009 |
Thanks, Nwazo! I'll give JustinTV a try. I like it that Amodu has blooded a number of 'youngsters'. If the already-established (read European based) stars want to represent Naija, they're going to have to earn their spot just like the hungry young Turks. Am looking forward to the France friendly in just about an hour, |

As long as Nigeria continues like dis, dere is no future 4 our futbal.Put d rt thngs in d rt place n gt rt results.Amodu is nt a coach.Hw can a coach hv a qualifyng match against an East African country n u'l b playng friendlies wt European countries.Hw rational is dat?We must make changes nw or SA 2010 wil stil elude us.God 4bid. |
Re: SA 2010 WCQ: Nigeria(3) Vs Kenya(0) On Sunday 7th June by Olaolufred(m): 11:53am On Jun 04, 2009 |
There is something that baffles me about this qualifying series. The rising and falling of Amodu is it. When he mistakenly win matches, some people says he is the Man. When he dissappoints they'll say quit. The danger is this, Guessing in answering objective questions is closer to failure than a Pass. Let Amodu continue his Kalokalo. By the time it is too late, our eyes go see wellu wellu. |

Why are we even accommodating the thought of Kenya playing competitive soccer against Nigeria. Those guys know only marathon. No skill in soccer. Nigeria 5-Kenya 0-1 |
