I absolutely concur with you sir, they need to proove to us that the fund was misappropriated....may be they can do that to us in a matter of little tym to come.
This people employ mob mentality without even getting to the nitty gritty of the case. This case can only become fraud if eventually it is proven that weapons were not procured.Even at that Dasuki would be the one to answer for it and not GEJ

Would you stop been silly!! The national assembly was inaugurated since June 9 and the bailout funds were released months Later!! Unless anyone can prove this money was not used to procure weapons, this case is dead on arrival!!! The two cases are identical!! Disbursement of funds to settle national emergencies without approval from the NASS

Don't let your tribe cloud your judgment. Does it appear to you that the money was used to procure arms. 2.1b from that money to Dokpesi for advert, another billion to one malam in sokoto for spiritual purpose which has been confirmed o. Bode George Bafarawa and some are also being detained for that same purpose, even Ngozi has sharoerly release a document to exonerate her self because she knows the new govt is closer to the truth.

Bros, if not all, a higher percentage of that fund was diverted for GEJ reelection.

I just have to reply you because of peope who don't know you have penchant for supporting corruption as long as you god (Saraki) is a beneficiary.

Remember he collected bribe from CBN after discovering that they paid Dansuki the money.

All the useless bills he is cooking up will not safe both of you from going to jail.
Who exactly collected bribe from the CBB? Kindly post a link to substantiate your claims

These people are bunch of jokers. The so called coordinating Minister is seeking approval to borrow a fund that was meant to form part of projected revenue to be appropriated(my interpretation;no approval in place yet to spend such money). That was why i said instead of seeking approval from the Presidency, a supplementary appropriation bill should have been sent to the NA for approval and she wouldn't be here today explaining herself.

I don't understand where the NSA was supposed to get the funds to payback what Madam was lending to them. It is also funny how madam expects NSA to account to the presidency alone when she was the one that requested for approval to transfer such funds. She is more than qualified to be on the President's security team as the coordinating minister of the economy(unless she doesn't trust herself) and should have demanded accountability of such funds using her power as the then minister of finance. Similar to Dokepsi case, she can be found guilty of conspiracy.

If procedure and procurement were done NO BODY would accuse madam coordinating minister.

Dude, just because you love and worship the woman, does not make her a saint. Before you get carried away by your emotions and start abusing people, try to always get your fact right.
No one is accusing her of misappropriation of funds. The questions are:
1. As a finance minister can she claim ignorance of how funds under her care was spent?
2. Can she spend money that was not budgeted for, without approval from the National Assembly?

Maybe you should answer this questions for her rather than throw tantrums.

The answer to ur question is SHE CANT, BUT THE PRESIDENCY CAN.

Which is exactly what happened. Its not illegal, u shld read d CBN's bylaws. The question u should ask is

1) WAS D REQUEST BASED ON A NATIONAL EMERGENCY?

2) WAS THE MONEY SPENT ON ITS INTENDED PURPOSE?

Ngozi okonjo iweala can never be charged to court on dis issue if none of dt money entered her perspnal account. Fact.

O

Please do not be deceived. I have bn involved in CBN audits before. DT letter was initiated based on a request by d presidency, not a request by the DSS. If d DSS asked for it, where is d request letter from DSS. Iweala was just smart. The woman saw what was going on and made sure she covered her ass by putting everything in writing. DT woman was not corrupt at all & may God forgive all d Nigerians dissing her. NOI does not need Nigeria's money.

Fact is when it comes to withdrawals from d CBN DT are not from customer (deposit money banks, govt agencies) accounts or based on budget expenditure approved by senate committees, the withdrawals are ALWAYS minuted on by d presidency. The head of an agency like the DSS cannot be requesting for money from abachas looted funds.
Everyone needs to just read between d lines and see DT all these things were done by GEJ, not nkonjo iweala.

Makes sense, this is a valid perspective.

Still doesn't change the fact that she knew what she was doing was fraudulent and unconstitutional.

Procurement or not, they did not follow due process and in fact, they breached the constitution which GEJ took an oath to defend. She should have advised them accordingly via a memo and if they had insisted, nobody will blame her for that when she releases the memo to the world to see. But she didn't and never thought it wise to resign her appointment when things were going crazy. She is an accomplice.

Nigerian populace especially the youths must open their eyes to who their enemy is. Nigeria is hitting up and boiling all because of perceived marginalizationand neglect by the enemy and we are now fighting each other and not the enemy. The enemy is not the Igbo man in Kano, or the Hausa man in Onitsha or the Yoruba man in Portharcourt. The enemy is our criminal leaders who live among us as Governors, Senators, Federal and State house of assembly, Commissioners, LG Chairmen, Ministers etc. These are enemies because they deceive us and make us fight each other but misappropriate our common wealth because they are wicked, selfish and greedy so they keep us down and unemployed without jobs, electricity, good roads, other amenities, money etc. And yetin our ignorance we keep praising them and worship them and even protect them because of the blood money they give us but kill ourselves for their sake. We need to re-direct our anger to these criminals and demand accountability and put them under fire whenever they cannot account for a kobo given to them for our upkeep and that of our children and generation yet unborn. The time is now. LET US FIGHT CORRUPTION IN OUR LAND.

The problem is not the Politicians but the Hausa Man.

This vindicates her of any wrong doing as she was only doing her job releasing funds for government activity under approval as it is the norm. How was she to know that released funds were about to be looted by Dasuki? Is it now her job to ascertain the attributes and characters of those working under GEJ?? Until we have evidence of Dasuki 'kicking back' some of these funds back to NOI's pocket or evidence of NOI keeping a 'lil bit' for herself then all of these bullsh**t are just noise from Daura dulllard's camp to divert the public 's attention away from the harsh economic climate Nigerians are currently weathering through.....

The presidency can legally ask for funds. Even if she suspected it was to be stolen (which im sure she did, dts why she made sure to get written approval), who will she report it to? Its not an illegal request.

It's ridiculous for any serious govt that understand the need for judicial process to go on the pages of newspaper scandalise its predecessor.. This APC govt sucks, you don't trial corrupt cases on the pages of newspaper. Your evidence has no value in the public space but in the court of law. APC should know that there is a limit to propaganda and a continuation of this harmful habit will further box the govt into tighter corners leading to more lies and desperate measures.

Please, it's a normal practice for the finance minister to seek for the president approval on carry out fund transfers or disbursement and to make it look criminal is the height of irresponsibility by this govt. They should carry out their investigation discreetly and go to the court with a water tight case rather than go to the public anytime they stumble on a piece of evidence. This is a charade, a mockery of our intelligent agencies.

No serious govt will come out to ridicule its predecessor with empty allegation as this. There is absolutely nothing wrong in the letter, it's in order and Buhari will also approve such letters just like he approved the bail out funds, emergency funds for the IDPs. Let stop playing politics with virtually everything in our national life.

These people are real thieves. I think the whole blame should be heaped on GEJ and his conduit pipe, Dasuki.

NOI's blame is minimal as she has always played smart.

the sweet thing. about this disco is that as one party attempts to dig itself out of the gbese automatically it would mean another party is being put further into problem.
.
even if NOI is corrupt this letter vindicates her because *it was sequence to a meeting presided over by GEJ where these matters were discussed and sanctioned so her job as finance min was to give order for release of the funds after GEJ. signs and authorizes it.

now it's the GEJ who is in trouble big time because as the letter clearly states due to 'the peculiar nature of security issues* the NSA will account for the funds to the presido. no finance minister around the world is privy to certain intelligence info that is why she backed off.

I dislike NOI but she has shown evidence to starve off this issue @ d moment but Jonah hmmm. she has just tendered evidence(media evidence) against u lools

You deserve a drink on me. This is one of the most lucid comments on this thread. It baffles me that with all of NOI's so called Harvard education she did see all the traps that were apparent in this transaction. How can you release funds that have not be appropriated to the NSA and expect the same NSA to be accountable for the funds? Does that make any sense to any reasonable person? I think she goofed here. She should just admit her mistake and apologize to Nigerians.
