The federal government has launched a fresh probe into the tenure of Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser (NSA), who was arraigned on Monday over allegations of N13 billion fraud.

In a newspaper advert on Monday, the office of the national security adviser asked all contractors who made supplies or rendered services to the office to appear before a contracts verification committee.

The committee will sit at the premises of the office on December 15-23, 2015.

The directors of the companies were asked to come forward with at least eight documents: certificate of incorporation, particulars of directors, tax clearance certificates from 2011 till date, letter of award of contract, invoice for supplies and services, evidence of payment so far/outstanding balance, personal income tax clearance certificates of the directors and any other documents to the contracts.

The statement was signed by the principal general staff officer in the office of the NSA.

The period of the probe was not stated, but it may cover from 2011 to 2015 given the demand for tax clearance certificates covering the period.

Dasuki was appointed NSA in June 2012 and left in July 2015.

This administration is indeed tactical and methodological in their approach.
This approach is the best way to catch those clueless thieves that were stealing with reckless abandon.

This is by far one of the best approach.
First of all, majority of those who have not paid their tax since will quickly go and pay thereby generating income for the government. Some of the looted funds what would have been hidden, are now been indirectly going to report themselves.
Everyone will not try and justify why they were paid within the period. Those with valid contracts and LPO will have nothing to fear.
Anyone within the stated period that does not show up at committee will be deemed to have something to hide.

I call this, OPERATION COME AND REPORT YOURSELF

Everyone in this administration is working but the newspapers will only go for stories that we generate more money or traffic for their site.
EFCC investigating Dansuki, won't prevent other Ministry or agency from working. Dansuki case dey like blue film that most people can't resist to click on anytime they see new development on the case.
