The predicament of the Shiites is similar to that of the early Muslims.

The shiites all over the world are known to be both peaceful and oppressed alongside the Ahmadis. On the other hand, the so called Sunni sects are marred with extremism, violence and terrorism. The havoc wrecked so far by elshabab, ISIS and others is a testament to this fact. The Sunnis of this time is everything the prophet of Islam (saw) was not.

With the above in mind, one cannot help but ask oneself the ultimate question. Is the Shia sect the only "sect" the prophet talked about in his hadiths ? He said, many sects will emerge but only one of them will be genuine. When asked how they could be identified he answered: they will be similar to us (the Muslims of his time) in all respect. In another narration, he said they shall be like lambs in the midst of leopards or lions.

I deem it incumbent on myself to explore further.
