Compliments of the season NLs.
As a hustler & starter, I want to buy a car majorly due to the nature of my job. I have a budget of 500-600k & am considering lesser matainance fee & fuel economy.
I initially have preference for a particular range rover but after some research I discover it goes for btw 750-800k.
I need ur candid advice/suggestion on a choice within my budget.
Am not a person with many words & as such i summarized my writeup.
Regards

I get ur point though, that's life for you and it will be worse to add a car problem to the once you already got,so why not have a little more patience and get the cash to startup with something more cooler..

to start with, I don't think you are ever gonna regret buying a Toyota pencil but for a wide cash budget then BMW never fails....my 2 cents

My personal advice to you....

1) A toks golf3 or vento costs about 500-550k, those cars are quite good for a start.

2) But if u still want naija used then buy either a 1998 Toyota Camry aka pencil light for 600-650k or Honda accord 1999 aka baby boy for 450-500k. However, check the car very well, go with two mechs and "rewires", one before the other....

3) Now here is the punch-line: NEVER BUY A GERMAN NAIJA USED CAR, WHETHER ITS A GOLF, AUDI, BENZ OR WHATEVER... no matter how enticing the offer may be. For the simple reason being that those poor machines would have taken so much abuse they become crap....

My 2cents.....

I can only recommend Golf mk3 or the vento for that price range, cant think of any direct toyota vehicle for that price unless naija used.

I wont recommend a naija used pencil lite camry for 500-600k.

The Vento is very reliable parts are available and affordable, the ride has the fuel economy as well as the reliability of a corolla.

I strongly recommend it for the budget conscious first time car owner. grin
