ATMC:
Hebrews 10:26

KJV:For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Does this mean that God will not forgive wilful sin? If yes then why are we told that Christ paid for the sins we will commit in future? without specifying if it be wilfully or not.
let's try this:

If after yo've accepted /believed that Christ has taken away our sins once and for all, yet you come back insisting that you have sinned outside this purview of forgiveness /grace. What then can be used to blot this sin that you've chosen to place outside the the framework of christ's forgiveness?
.....all that will be left is you living with a crippling fear and expectation of damnation

Interestingly there also seems to be at least a slight similarity with the start of Genseis -
Eve ate the fruit wilfully, nothing happened
Adam ate the fruit wilfully, both eyes became opened
Yet God didnt seem to know what happened
Only when Adam wilfuly confessed that he was out of grace/favour/Sync that God noticed ...and 'rained curses'

The book of Hebrews was addressed to the Hebrews showing them the superiority of the christian' way as against that of Judaism that was still in practice then.

grin grin grin

Did I hear you say it was still in practice then? And you told me show evidence but said the same thing it was still in practice then. Any bible student knows those people were still practicing things as of old, hence the correction from the Author.

2. From other things you wrote, I'm not advocating lifestyle continous practice of sin GOD FORBID I TEACH SUCH RATHER WE SHOULD ALL STRIVE TO BE BETTER AND LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES but here are my questions for you AS A PERSON. ...and we can use your answer to judge many other christians.

A. Since you became a Christian, have you stopped sinning?

B. If you say that scripture is addressing "continuous practice" of sin, have you committed one particular sin TWICE or THRICE since you became a Christian?

B1. If your answer to B above is yes, can you consider yourself as "willfully practicing" sin? since you committed same sin more than once.

C. What sin is there that you committed that is not deliberate or thoughtful or involving your will?

D. Will God forgive these your "willful sin" as in C above?

Paul is just emphasizing Heb 6:4-6 in Heb 10:26-30. u need to understand the 'context' of God's relationship with Israel, mind u, this letter is to the Jews - the whoring people. Who will worship The Lord in the morning, then baal in the evening. Their 'sin' was allways unbelief and switching of allegiance between Jehovah and 'other' gods, so Paul was warning them and making them to understand dat times av changed, that d levitical priesthood that was repeating sacrifices had been replaced by 'a once and forall sacrifice of Jesus priesthood. You that ave accepted Jesus now, if you go back and make/worship/beleve in a golden calf (reject Jesus) and think you can return. There is no sacrifice to mediate ur return, unless u want to kill Jesus again which is not possible. So "let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,....... Heb 10:23.

I stated clearly that God knows those that have taken his undeserved kindness as an excuse for loose conduct by carrying on with the practice of sins as a sport. That is, continuing in sin and thinking it is normal.

See What God's word says here:

1cor 6:9-1

9 Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will not inherit God’s Kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean; you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.
.... ......................................................

The above Scripture says "that is what some of you were", past tense. Should not be continuous.

Asking if I have committed sin is not necessary,
Am not the yerd stick, but the word of God is.

That is why the way to life is called the "narrow gate and cramp" (tight difficult, restrictive) And that is the way that leads to life.

. It is different from the broad road where one can do whatever s(he) he likes.

Still, there is a provision to assist those that stumble and recognized that they have strayed:

James 514-16
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
...........................................................

I don't think that someone can decide to be a perpetual crawler and and proud him or herself of being a Christian. A Christian should hate what God hate and follow Christ foot steps.

Prayerfully depending on God to not fall into sin.

All Christians know that they have a fight against human weaknesses and Satan temptations, rather than living in Satan's temptation and way without effort to hate what God hate and still claiming to being a Christian.

How can such be the way to follow Christ ? = 'Christian' ?

I wish you had answered those questions as they were laid out but it's okay if you choose not to. But it would have helped our discussion or the thread or the OP.
Re: What Does This Scripture Say Really? by odijeks(m): 9:26pm On Apr 07, 2016
Christ died for all sins even future willful sins. come to think of it, most of the sins (even future sins) of the christian are willful sins. in this context, what Paul is saying is that anyone who willfully rejects Christ as saviour after such an individual has come to realize and understand that eternal life can only come through faith in Christ and not by keeping of the law, if such an individual willfully refuses to put faith in Christ and continues in the law, then that individual has no more sacrifice for his sins. no other saviour would be given to such a person. sin in this context doesnt refer to sinful acts, it refers to rejection of Christ. If you remember, Jesus first made mention of this 'unpardonable sin' and in the context were he spoke of it, the teachers of the law accused him of healing by the power of a demon. they rejected him as the Son of God, and referred to him as belzeebul (a demon). what he meant was, if you reject me and the power of my salvation, expecting some other salvation/saviour, there is no other saviour or sacrifice to be given for your sins. hope this helps.

In addressing your question: it is worth of note that, the author's primary subject of discuss is centered on Faithfulness. "Faithfulness", is the ability to remain consistent, devoted and relentless in your pursuits.

I believe that the following verses in Hebrews 10, will give satisfactory answers to your question, which is a very good one.

"Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing {no longer coming for fellowship meetings}. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer. For there is no longer any sacrifice that will take away sins if we purposely go on sinning after the truth has been made known to us.

---- Diagnosis 1 ---
The author made this communication based on the rites of the "Law & Commandment" bordering offerings of all sorts. In the Law, they had sin offerings, first fruit offering, and all sorts of offerings one could engage in. The sin offering was used by the author simply because, he understood it was abused by the Jewish people before his time, and in his time. People simply would go about their "affairs", and afterwards, offer up "fat" animals in hope to be pardoned by their "quality" sacrifices. However, their sacrifices didn't change their human nature. They still possessed the Adamic nature.

This sin offering mentality had been passed down from generation onto generation. It was a norm to offer up sin offerings once you committed a sin, be it intentionally or not. And the good of part is, they were taught that God would forgive, no matter the sin. However, they weren't taught intoto that, the blood of animals only covered them for a period, pending when Jesus, the perfect Sacrifice would show up. Even if they were taught; their spirit was still that of Adam's nature! It was a corrupted nature.

The author, tries to let his Jewish Christian listerns in on some very wonderful truths. He let's them know that, they no longer had that old Adamic Nature that always had control over their bodies and minds, as you see him admonish in verses 21-23.

He also went further to say...

--- end of diagnosis 2 ---

"Instead, all that is left is to wait in fear {reverence to the Word, that is living by it, in, and with it; up until their time and task here on earth was complete} for the coming Judgement and the fierce fire {to be judge and rewarded} which will destroy those who oppose God! {purposely abandon the free gift of Salvation. Turn complete away from God and worship their preferred god}. Anyone who who disobeys the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy when judged guilty on the evidence of two or more witnesses. What, then, of the person who despises the Son of God?

--- Diagnosis 3 ---

Here, we find the author trying frantically to educate the people of the repercussions should a person purposely abandons God for another god. He let's them know that, its not compulsory to worship God but, to consider the punishment God had already laid out to; (1). those who opposed him: Satan and the angels that were kicked out of Heaven, and (2). those who will oppose Him. God set those punishments in verse 27, even before the physical advent His Christ!

---- End of Diagnosis 4 ---

" Who treats as a cheap things the blood of God's covenant which purified him from sin? who insults the Spirit of grace? Just think how much worse is the punishment he will deserve! For we know who said, "I will take revenge, I will repay"; and who also said, "The Lord will judge his people" {those who were in Him, and left on their own accord, too. They will treated as rebels too. God is no respecter of persons. He is not partial.}. It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God".

From Verse 35...

"Do not lose your courage, then, because it brings with it a great reward. You need to be patient, in order to do the will of God and receive what he promises. For as the scripture says, "Just a little while longer, and he who is coming will come; he will not delay. My righteous people, however, will believe and live; but if any of them turns back, I will not be pleased with him."

Verse 39, 1 John 1:7...
"We are not people who turn back and are lost. Instead, we have faith and are saved.. if we live in the light - just as he is in the light - then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin."

--- Diagnosis 5 ---

Now to give proper answer to your wonderful question. Apostle John says that, the Blood of Jesus had already cleansed you of every sin; past, present and future. He is saying that you should have this information as a present hour reality. By knowing this, you will always have fellowship with the Father. However, should you commit sin, you have already been forgive but, you've got to acknowledge it. You don't have to take the Vicarious Death of Christ for granted. He now tells us what to do..

--- End of Diagnosis 6 ---

1 John 1:8-10
"IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE NO SIN, WE DECEIVE OURSELVES, AND THERE IS NO TRUTH IN US. BUT IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS TO GOD {NOT YOUR PRIEST}, HE WILL KEEP HIS PROMISE AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT: HE WILL FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL OUR WRONGDOING.{EMPOWER US TO RESIST SIN, AT ALL TIME}. IF WE SAY AT WE HAVE NOT SINNED, WE MAKE GOD OUT TO BE A LIAR, AND HIS WORD {LIFE} IS NOT IN US.

All Scripture is taken from The GoodNews Bible Translation.

Jude 4
4 My reason is that certain men have slipped in among you who were long ago appointed to this judgment by the Scriptures; they are ungodly men who turn the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse for brazen conduct and who prove false to our only owner and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jude 4
King James Version

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
..............................................

The Key word there is that one's action can undo, destroy, cancel the grace he ones has by engaging in Lasciviousness.

Lasciviousness means Lewd or sexual promiscuousness.

Illicit Sex.

If the above is true, how then can it be said that with grace one cannot sin or loose it?

It shows that those having grace will suffer damnation due to what the individual does.

Jude 3

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto
you of the common salvation, it was needful for me
to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should
earnestly contend for the faith
which was once
delivered unto the saints.
.....................................................

Why should one that is saved based on grace have to contend for the Faith if the chances are that he cannot lose grace?

Contend with what?
