The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a statement by Olisa Metuh, its spokesman, claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari is afraid of former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki.


The party states that the ruling APC is evidently looking for destruction of the PDP so that it can push through Buhari’s second term in 2019 without opposition.

The statement reads in part: “This has also confirmed our concern that this is the reason the Federal government is persecuting, and not prosecuting, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

“The APC and its leaders fear that Dasuki, given his vast political and security network, may be harbouring a presidential ambition, more so that the PDP has zoned its presidential ticket to the north.

“The PDP is conversant with the sinister plan by the APC-led Federal government to completely decimate our party by raking up all manner of allegations of corruption against the Goodluck Jonathan administration and leaders of the PDP with a view to taking them to court on orchestrated charges.

“Besides, it is sad and embarrassing that President Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade has now been reduced to a war between the APC and the PDP as declared by the Office of his spokespersons. Since they have confirmed that this is what the anti-corruption crusade is all about, the APC is obviously seeking to destroy the PDP so that it can push through Buhari’s second tenure in 2019 without opposition from the PDP.

“Finally we are aware that President Buhari has directed security agencies to be more vicious in dealing with our members and has continued to subtly coerce the judiciary to convict those being charged to court. But what gives us joy is that President Buhari is not God and we will not worship him.”

Was looking forward to a very valid legitimate reason that PMB is indeed afraid of Sambo Dasuki only to hear this useless and worthless reason. Olisa Metuh needs to be more analytic in his propaganda in politics. Because this one is lame and stupid, not befitting of PDP. A former ruling party.

Anybody can try to gild the lily, nobody can change the fact that mother is universally called Mama. A thief is a thief. This may be one scandal that will trump Watergate in the Guinness. I will never defend corrupters in my life. Anybody found guilty should not only be published but be given Chinese model of retribution. This is defining moment.

METUH IS NOT THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE PDP AT THIS POINT IN TIME.
METUH SHOULD RESIGN SO THAT A MORE AGGRESSIVE PERSON CAN LEAD THE CHARGE AGAINST THIS INCOHERENT APC.

Oh PDP, why have thou chosen to tow the path of extinction? Indeed, the APC presently enjoys nationwide support, but it would be counterproductive to have it play the roles of opposition, in addition to that of governance. It is up to the PDP to save Nigeria from becoming a single-party state, which is starting to look unavoidable considering that the likes of Olisa Metuh, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Fayose are consciously or unconsciously choking the very little integrity left in their party, out of it. The fight is starting to take the semblance of an individualistic fight for protection from the anti-corruption campaign of Mr. President.
Should the PDP try to paint the President as been terrified of Dasuki whose mismanagement (or kleptocracy) has cost Nigerians of billions of naira, and thousands of combatants and non-combatants? Well, Nigeria would not be the first and only country in the world to prosper as a single-party one even though the beauty of democracy is in the presence of worthy alternatives.

Sambo Dasuki as president in 2019??

Who will vote for him even in his Sokoto state??

Someone whose father is seen as an usurper that took Maccido's rightful place before Abacha booted him out??

Even Ekweremadu will poll more votes nationwide than Sambo will ever garner.

buari is persecuting dasuki because he (dasuki) pointed a gun to buari's head during 1985 coup. Buari still remember dat day vividly with horor. dats why every time he remembers d incident, his heart become filled with vengence n anger.

Of all the silly things the PDP has been saying for the past 16 years this must be the most ridiculous. So Buhari is afraid of Dasuki's presidential ambition? Who on earth is the little-known Dasuki who many Nigerians, courtesy of the anti-corruption resolve of Buhari, now only know as a scammer? Abacha son even has a better chance of becoming President than Dasuki. PDP should learn to shut up if all the party will come out with are asinine, logic-defying and imbecilic comments.

..3 things to note. ..
1. Comrade Metuh needs to wash his mouth with soap so that he can spew out "cleaner" and more intelligent stuff in the new year.
2. Come 2019, a lot of people may not vote APC but PDP would have become a relic by then.
