Tragedy was recorded in Umuenem Ezinesi Oduma Aninri in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu state was on 27th December,2015 after a man killed his step-mother who tried to separate a fight between him and his elder sister.

Friday Anyim, the suspect is one of the sons of Anyim Samuel Ogbonna but from another wife out of the three wives and was allegedly having an issue with the elder sister over a request to sell a GP Tank and raise money for him out of which he can get to buy a motorcycle for okada business in the community.

It was gathered that this did not go well hence a fight broke out between the suspect and the elder sister.It was further gathered that the suspect picked an axe to be used on the elder sister when suddenly the deceased wife of Anyim Samuel Ogbonna and identified as Bennedeth Anyim intervened to save the situation and the axe allegedly got her on the neck and she fell down and became unconscious.

The suspect on seeing what happened took to his heels and abandoning the axe.She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where she Benedeth was confirmed dead and consequently deposited at Awgu District Hospital Mortuary for Autopsy.

Meanwhile,the suspect Friday Anyim is now with the operatives of the Homicide section of the state criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department of the Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force where he is helping the operatives in their investigations.

Frustration spirit, at his age he could not afford money for a motorcycle, I wish they treat him well in prison. Very heartless human being.
