Where is the evidence that any money was shared? They just arrest people and start releasing statements to the media without allowing the other party to tell his own part of the story and you zombies swallow everything hool, line and sinker! Is this a surprised that this happened few days after Metuh called Buhari a tyrant and was warned before he repeated it again?
What about the N1.2bn found in his account?

Please have anybody querried where APC got the billions they spent during election or is it only PDP that spent money and the source known to EFCC.? Nigerian corruption fight is always vindictive. Can we be sincere for once as a nation?
theV0ice :

If APC goes rogue, they'll self destruct and their successors will expose, deal with them and recover whatever they steal...

Eventually the Nigerian big man will learn to be circumspect in his behavior.

The way I see it, its a win win for Nigeria and Nigerians

Following the arrest of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Chief Olisa Metuh, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the party's national leadership has demanded his immediate release. This was contained in a statement by Prof. Adewale Oladipo, the National Secretary of the party.

Read statement below:

This development, which did not come to us as a surprise given series of threats to our party’s spokesman by the APC and the Federal Government, who are obviously not comfortable with our stance on the confused state of the nation under their watch, is a continuation of APC’s grand design to silence and decimate the PDP.

The arrest of Chief Metuh today underscores the growing political intolerance in our country and the foisting of a police state which was last Wednesday underscored by the President and Commander-in-Chief himself, who defended why a government in a democracy should flout constitutional provision and brazenly disobey court orders.

This onslaught against our spokesman, according to intelligence available to us is part of a larger script by the government to ensure that PDP wings are finally clipped in their mission to install a dictatorial one-party state in the country.

The excesses of security agencies under this government, especially the Directorate of Security Services (DSS) and the EFCC, in abridging the human rights of PDP members have become worrisome and a threat to our democratic evolution.

Nigerians and the international community will recall that on a number of occasions, the PDP, through its spokesman has been outspoken on some undemocratic proclivities being exhibited by the APC-led Federal Government in the last seven months.

The PDP insists that for whatever reason Chief Metuh was arrested, his rights as a citizen under the law must not be trampled upon. We therefore demand for his immediate release and that due process of investigation and prosecution concerning him should be strictly adhered to.

We state this because we have been made aware of top directives to break Chief Metuh and if possible poison him during his detention by the EFCC. Chief Metuh, has since his arrest at about 10 am, has been kept incommunicado, with his lawyers denied access to him.

The PDP declares the arrest of our spokesman as the last straw that may break our democracy. We therefore forewarn the Federal Government and its agencies to save our democracy and forthwith release our National Publicity Secretary.

We are also calling on the international community and well-meaning Nigerians to stand up for this democracy, which our party nurtured for 16 years and deepened to a level where the opposition, for the first time in our political history, had the opportunity to win in a general election.

For the record let me set this straight, opposition comes from the masses back by the human right activists, it's just that since the return of democracy in 1999 Nigerians are not given the right to air their views about their democracy but thank God now we are getting it right, PDP members are getting what they deserve because for the past sixteen years they have been given the opportunity to make Nigeria great but all what they did was to bring Nigeria to her kneels so do they deserve we the Nigeria masses pity my answer is capital no, I'm not saying that the APC members are not corrupt no they are all corrupt because most of them came out of this PDP but the federal government can not live the party members that were involved in this most scandalous act since the return of our democracy to go against the PDP members that are in the ruling party now just to prove to PDP that they are serious about the war against corruption? No, after taking the war to the PDP the federal government will now come back to the ruling party which happens to be theirs and this will happen towards the end of president Buhari's tenure in other not to cause upset in his government. Remember Buhari is fearless most past leaders and people present in the government know that.

Now that majority of Nigerians don't like PDP and will love to see them fall, I don't think PDP should be making such comments about a break in d country cos it will only incense most Nigerians...PDP guys need to employ a shrewd informant that knows how to talk in public so as to regain d love of Nigerians and not giving fire for fire by copying APC's style....it will be dr greatest undoing.

Oga Secretary, we are standing up for democracy, hence, our position that Olisa Metuh should get a team of brilliant lawyers and explain all what he knows to the investigators. If the investigator aren't satisfied, he should be prepared to explain himself to the judge. There is no two ways about this. This is a democratic process.

However, if he knows within Himself that he ate our scarce resources(yams), he should save us time by surrendering his yams and plead for forgiveness. But whether or not he agrees, the law must take its course.

There's fire on the mountain but nobody seems to be on the run -Asa sang it.
The country has descended into total anarchy yet every body is watching. This man wants to arrest GEJ so he's tactically picking up all those who foresee the plans and are not afraid to speak out. One thing I want to say is that, this fire they're setting, when it starts burning, it will consume all of us. I can see disaster looming. GEJ did not witch hunt anyone during his tenure. Remember, no matter how powerful you are, when you threaten someone for so long he will eventually resist. I can see Terror being unleashed upon this nation.

When dasuki was first arrested, didn't you ask for the evidence. Ask yourself how buhari can be involved in the scandal. He is an opposition as at that time. Wise up biko. In due time i am sure you will get the evidence you need. Dasuki should tell us how much he gave adesina.and see if he would be arrested or not

how is it a win win for Nigeria, if there successors go probing there predecessors, isnt that 20years backwardness, let the oposition stay rather than cripple it, it will aid development. Ever since buhari came, what has he achieved, all these arrests rearrest are designed to divert the attention of Nigerians from their pains to the wind.

Tinubu ,'the rogue' you love to hate started his opposition with only Lagos state and you guys mocked him to no end. Try encourage Fayose to keep up his gra gra.......with him around, PDP can be hopeful wink

The man also mentioned femi and buhari, why did efcc didnt go after them?

Are you sure he didn't also mention your name? Or Obama's name? If he has evidence, what's stopping him from publishing it through PDP media like AIT, igberetv, trentonline etc? Abi didnt they publish news and pictures about a 'very sick' Buhari? Abeg let us hear word.
