Eboes always sentimental. It is one Nigeria means you should export everybody to Lagos .Must all Eboes come to Lagos?
We cannot deceive ourselves on that issue . Lagos cannot house everybody and maybe we shall have to issue quotas to every state

It is about time a spade is called what it is.first and for most I must say that the ibos are being witch hunted for not voting for Ambode , for your information that market was commissioned by the federal government of nigeria and has been in existence for a very long time, even Fashola did not remove the market because he knew that it was not constituting any nuisance as claimed.so,why is it now that lasg just woke up to see that it is constituting nuisance if not just the case of giving a dog a bad name before hanging it.ibos will survive no matt er the marginalization. Do patronize the said market every week. It is a major market for electronic component for repairs, projects and you get almost anything there from generators, digital camera, cables, inverter, batteries.. Infact it was the last resort for most electronic technicians for spare and repairs in Nigeria.
Dropped an inverter there worth 25k for minor repair before Christmas it is gone now. That market is worth billions and been locked by LASG right after Xmas, trader had no access to their stores to allow for evacuation. Why are they demolishing when they refuse them access days before.

They must have given them a notice, there are many markets and structures with notice of demolition but the traders rather move their things will start bribing government officials.

I am a bit concerned if LASG actually gave this guys notice, am not saying they did or didnt and can't assume anything... But from the statement released by LASG, it did not mention that the government gave the traders the appropriate notice..... Just saying.

With comments like this nobody can blame the South-East & South-South for thinking of leaving.
Really and truly Nigeria is the one pushing the South-East & South-South away.

the South-East & South-South will survive well, infact there will be more money to go round.

the South-East & South-South should realize that they are better off on their own as you can see what happens.

Even the mods here will tell you one Nigeria but the way they hate the South-East & South-South speaks volumes.

the South-East & South-South have the man power and brains to be on their own.
Its the North that can't survive on their own so they are scared of the South-East & South-South leaving.

I think with Lagos the SOuth-West will do okay!

The North may go back to their groundnuts, but they will miss the oil they have been living off the South.

So the comments like this that are permitted makes leaving a better possibility and has been said

Why must the Eboes always tie themselves to SS what is the link.
Once again Eboes are ALWAYS sentimental and reason like children. Even if Nigeria breaks up will you relocate the land? The biggest trading partner will still be Nigeria. Instead of introducing sentiment look at facts. This is not even just a YORUBA issue . Think about the INDIGENOUS people of Lagos. hey did not ask for Lagos to me a national hotspot where everyone comes in and drives up the price of Land so much that indigenous people lose their identity. We cannot say that is a non issue let us get on with one Nigeria. Other parts of Nigeria should develop their enclaves so we do not have migration on a scale that causes social problems this is human nature everywhere. We have seen it already in minority areas like Port Harcourt where the indigenous language is dead . No one learns it and no one speaks it. If you live in PH NO ONE will approach you on the street and speak Ikwerre to you. So we cannot encourage thousands of young men daily to migrae into Lagos that is a time bomb waiting to explode.
So all this Black mail of we are leaving is empty. No one will ever allow you take the SS and the Land mass of the SE cannot sustain Eboes some will always be in Nigeria that is the reality

By the way Boko Haram too want to leave and they seem more serious than you folk and the rest of the North Say Boko Haram are a minority. How do we know the Biafrans are any different . You are welcome to leave but demonstrate it is not a minority agitation. How get your Senators and governors to endorse it

Your posts are horrible. Haba! I wont be surprised if you are one of those introverts who look on with unwarranted envy, who is bullied everyday by better, bigger people. The internet is your heaven. A place where you can be who you can not be. I pity you.

Sorry omonnakoda but we identify with the Igbos, we have seen the way GEJ was treated in Power.
We support OBJ 2 times, when it got to our turn the South_west turned its back on us.

We have intermarried well with the Igbos and they fell at home with us.

We dont destroy their business unlike the yorubas do.

The Yorubas are equally treating us in the south-south badly, you take our oil
but want to build the dry dock in the south-west.

N-Delta youths kick against building of NLNG Dry-dock in Badagry

on August 07, 2015 / in News 12:48 am / Comments

PORT HARCOURT—Youth groups in Niger Delta have threatened to shut down the operations of Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company, NLNG, in their communities of the region, especially in Rivers State over the alleged location of its Drydock in Badagry, Lagos.

The youths drawn from the six states of Niger Delta, while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said it was wrong for NLNG to abandon the region where it has its base to site a project that will provide jobs for youths of the region in Lagos.

Spokesman of the youths, Mr Simeon Wilcox, said the youths want the management of NLNG operating in Bonny, Rivers State to make public their position on the recent news of the location of its Drydock in Badagry, Lagos.

So omonnakoda you want our oil but dont want us to benefit from it.
We shall not be slaves to the south-west or the North of Nigeria.

SO WE THE SOUTH-SOUTH REACH OUT TO THE SOUTH-EAST

You have made very asinine opinions. Look, any where there is an avenue for business, people will flock there. you most probably are not a Lagos indigene. if you were, you would know that they are the greatest beneficiaries of the high cost of land which they sell. Why don't you go to Lekki and scream that the igbos have coverted your father's land?

The land mass of Lagos is about 0.02-0.03 % of Nigeria and yet it holds about 15% of the population and still growing. It receives less allocation than than Akwa Ibom nd such like. Some one has to look at the bigger picture and say this is not sustainable going forward but also what the likely social consequences will be.
There is urgent need to develop other parts of the country and that responsibility lies with the governors. We must say that if you are not an indigene you must earn above a certain amount to live in Lagos we cannot have everyone coming to ride okada and sell Okrika
