I don't know why these people should be seeking for bail. Don't they have any shred of humanity or conscience left? I was told that there's honour among thieves, I see none among this set here? Haba!

Dansuki was charge to more than one court on different offences. He got bail in one court for d case in that court.com He has not be granted bail in d other court for different case.

It means that he can only leave prison when he get bail in all the courts and cases he has been charged for

This is a nice clarification. Learnt something new today.

But if Fed high court abuja has granted them bail, my questions are ;

Have they all meet bail conditions?
Why is Dss still holding them.

I believe no one is bigger than Nigeria law and as pa Buhari has always stated that he gives full respect to the rule of law, it will be nice to give directives on this.

Perhaps is something missing that I don't get clear

Nothing is missing here. He was granted bail for sure and was released, but he was re arrested by the EFCC based on new criminal charges which remains the reason why he is still he's still locked up.

Have you hear any of the courts sanctioning the EFCC for contempt or refusal to obey court orders? No.

Willful display of sophisticated lunacy.. It was FG, the prosecutor that CHOSE to charge at FTC High Court and now refused to obey the same court it had taken the care to? Why? because the verdict is not in their favour??

What's hard for you to understand? If they like like can grant him bail today and re-arrest him tomorrow for another charge

The question is: did any court of competent jurisdiction at any point grant Dasuki and others bail

I understand where this man is coming from.....he doesn't want to be seen as if Buhari disregarded the ruling of the federal high court

whether federal high court, magistrate or customary court, COURT ORDERS MUST NOT BE DISOBEYED WITH WHATEVER EXCUSE
So he can go abroad for treatment? Really?

Lemme explain the part you didn't get.

The judges have not really taken enough time to feel the pulse of the nation.
People want blood, they want to see looters go to prison and Sovereignty belongs to the people {at least to the majority of them} not to the Constitution.
Whatever the outcome of the case Dasuki is already guilty of negligence. Cos if a superior ordered you to do something against the Constitution or your conscience - you resign. Except it's what you want to do b4.
So while the trial is ongoing he should remain in custody jus to serve as a deterrent.

God bless you sir

you are getting it wrong again, not federal high court abuja but high court of the federal capital territory abj

WaffenSS:

Let's say you're charged to court over a case: case A.

You were granted bail on case A.

You met the bail conditions.

Immediately you're arrested as a suspect over another case, case B.

The bail for case A cannot override your detention in case B. Thus, legally no bail law was broken.

If you secure bail for case B as well, you can however still be arrested for potential cases C, D, E, ad infinitum.

This is nice enuf thank you

Why I actually, is to be clear on why people kept on wailing "buhari should obey court order first. This actually prompted me to av asked that question if the FG has in any way flaunted the court order.

After reading the article and the accompanying comments, I realized some wailers have comprehension problem.

"Dasuki is currently involved in three criminal cases pending before the Federal High Court, Abuja and the High Court of the Federal Capital territory (FCT), Maitama, Abuja."

If according to the article, Dasuki is facing cases in 2 different courts, how does the granting of bail by one court on one case amount to granting of bail by the other on a different case?

From the article, The High Court of FCT and not The Federal High Court of Nigeria granted Dasuki bail . . . . The Registrar is just seeking to clarify things to avoid confusion . . . . .

Ok i understand. Buhari only receive and obeys Federal High courts and controls High Court of FCt. Its ok.
Just hope one day the hunted will not turn to the hunter.

Whether it is Federal High Court or High Court of the FCT . . . bail is bail.

Since he has been granted bail by a competent court, the man should be allowed to go to his house
The Federal high Court over rules other court

Is like you guys are not really getting the registrar's explanation at all, he said Dasuki & co has many cases to answer, some in the Abuja High Court while some in the Federal High Court and it was the Abuja High Court that granted them bail but the cases at the Federal High Court did not give them bail.
