During the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan, When INEC declares a result even if it isn't in favour of his party, The PDP, he is the first person to congratulate the winner.
It helps to douse the tension.

Have you noticed Buhari doing same?
I haven't though

Jonathan even with his faults, is a true reflection of what a true and democratic leader is.
President Buhari should take a cue.

Like i said, it would help to douse tension.
my opinion.

Please let us learn to appreciate individual differences. We cannot all be the same. we were wired differently and this should be appreciated. Otherwise you will begin to judge others weaknesses on the strengths of some people and that it is wrong. Once it is not an offence then do not go there because it becomes subjective ie your own opinion only.

Try to know the difference between the ideal and the lawful

Learn about the reality and the ideal

Improve by knowing that a thing cannot be picked in vacuum but in absolute term

All these above will help you more.

For example, the fact that Mr A congratulates Mr B does not mean if Mr C fails to do it, it is an offence or a crime. It might be good but not compulsory.
What tells you that what Jonathan was doing was not even a deceit only to carry out a sinister motive of his?

Finally we should know that 'dousing tension' as you put it is a sign that we are still immature. Every loser should be gallant in losing and every winner should be magnanimous in winning. That is the normal situation.

Under Jonah 16 was greater than 19.

Under him, 5 HOA members could impeach Speaker

Under him, a lot of innocent souls were lost especially in Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom on a scale never witnessed before.

Under him, security personnel coul harrass opposition leaders in Osun and Ekiti.

Under Jonah, election commissioners could write figures "under special circumstances" as revealed by the professor returning officer in Rivers during presidential election.

If making sure that people's votes count will lead to inconclusive elections which will later be concluded credibly, I prefer it.
