In law, "Qui tacet consentit". It translates to mean 'silence is consent'.

Jonathan has two choices and I hope his lawyers advise him accordingly. He can either elect to be a prosecution witness or to join Dasuki as a co-accused person. In any case, Dasuki won't hesitate to rubbish him if given the opportunity.

If he is a prosecution witness, he woldn't need expensive legal services as he is on the government's side and his reputation remains intact. Hence, lawyer no go chop.
If he foolishly decides to join Dasuki as a co-accused person, he would need expensive legal services and lawyer go chop plenty.

If you were Jonathan's lawyer, which path would you advise him to follow?

Spare us all these quotes. Jonathan has not been indicted at the moment. So, keep your options.

OP, where were you about a month ago in USA when Jonathan said that no money was diverted? He even asked a question about where the the said money came from. Jona is a clown.

People ranting shud tell us what they would have done differently from GEJ. Even Magu said it that documents signed by GEJ showed that the $2.1billion was for weapons. Dasuki and his cohorts bought some weapons and shared a major part of the money. If we expect GEJ to start counting all the weapons bought, then we are not being sincere to ourselves. If GEJ ordered Dasuki to share part of the money, then Dasuki should speak up. All these ranting that GEJ MUST speak makes no sense because like Fashola that told the national assembly that he only signs cheques, that's what GEJ does, and a little oversight function.

GEJ can shed more light on d arms deal saga to put d records straight. but as far as am concerned, d former president owes nobody an explanation.
Because Nigeria is a zoo, a banana Republic where elected office holders shouldn't be accountable? That's your future my brother. SMH.

I have said it before, and I will continue to say it. Any enlightened Nigerian who opens his/her mouth to say that Dasuki acted independently should have his/her heard examined. The man received orders from above to divert the money for PDP campaigns.

I believe he has revealed this to the EFCC already, but because it is Jonathan, the EFCC and the presidency are treading carefully. This will not last forever though, because Dasuki will talk in court. He will not go down alone. Somebody mark my words and this day.

Even the wailing wailers knew this already.

You people can defend anything, even if it is indefensible situation! What if tomorrow he decides to admit that was indeed 2.1 billion dollars because as at last month, he maintained that there wasn't any 2.1 billion dollars.

This arms procurement probe will go down a failed one.
Dasuki was never a president, he acted strictly under GEJ'S instruction.
Why are they are punishing him alone while his partner-in-crime, GEJ is walking free?

All these your source self.
Why not post the links from reputable news agencies. E.g punch, vanguard, the sun. Not all these blogs that do copy and paste.

The reputable links operated and manned by APC media wing you mean? With Femi Adesina as former Chief Editor in one of them??No thanks...as long as the information is true, I'm good

I have been looking at this post all day. The dislike and disrespect for Jonathan knows no bound. Haba!
Yaradua was sick, these enemies of Goodluck prevented him from acting. Eventually he acted.
Yaradua died, these enemies prevented him from leading as president. Eventually he lead.
He contested election in 2011 and won. You guys made the country ungovernable for him. Eventually he reigned and completed his tenure.
He contested again in 2015, his enemies rigged and rolled and won. He knew it was rigged but he kept quiet and even congratulated the other. You guys said he was afraid and a weakling.
Now he handed over peacefully, the first time in the history of Africa when an incumbent will concede defeat. And he is leading his quiet and good life, enemies are after him again.
Anything he says now will be misinterpreted.
Enemies of Goodluck should face the new government with DEFEATING BOKO HARAM IN 2 WEEKS PROMISE, MAKING $1=#1, PAYMENT OF #5000 TO THE UNEMPLOYED, DISOBEYING COURT INJUCTIONS, ETC.
WHERE ARE THE BRING BACK OUR GIRLS CRUSADERS?
HOW MUCH DO YOU BUY FUEL NOW DESPITE THE WORLD WIDE CRASH IN PRICE?

After 7 months, no show yet and the poster is diverting attention here and there.

Face reality, think of how to better your life and Nigeria and leave Jonathan alone!

Thank me later.

Jonathan should be left to enjoy his deserved peace I can't believe this is coming from a sane being!
1. Does it occur to you that we are talking about $2.1 billion public funds being stolen by few?
2. Does it occur to you that some of the culprits have admitted taking the monies and indicted Jonathan?
3. Does it occur to you that our Soldiers were poorly equipped and sent to war front to combat well armed Terrorists and our soldiers and civilians were being slaughtered while Monies meant to equip the soldiers were being shared by cronies of Jonathan?
4. Does it occur to you that point 3 above tantamount to War Crime, and Jonathan can be persecuted for war crimes if any one takes up this case to international Court of Justice?
5. Does it occur to you that Olissa Mettuh has boldly claim that N400milion was paid to him by Jonathan as payment for a private deal he did for Jonathan? Does it occur to you that the source of the alleged monies was public funds and definitely not Jonathan's money?

Am greatly dismayed that people can't overcome their gullible sentiments in the face of glaring truth.
Nigeria is continually corrupt because ithe very citizens that are supposed to hold public officials accountable are the very ones defending these corrupt officials and emboldening them to engage in their practices.
So long as the government is a product of its citizenry, the people will always deserve the kind of govt they have.

1 simple question for U. Where did APC got their campaign money from? How much dollar was Atiku distributing before Amaechi arrived with 10,000 dollar in each envelope? And that paved way for Buha! be critical and logical please.
Thank me later. grin

If GEJ could personally go round Nigeria sharing millions of dollars like he did during the election, he gave Dasuki the permission to share the Abacha loot.

We shouldn't forget how GEJ emptied cbn in a day........ undecided
