How Social Is Your Business? 5 Things Fortune Companies Are Not Telling You. by Victorwordsmith(m): 8:57am On Jan 15, 2016
Of course, you already know that the world of business isn't limited to the four walls of your organization, business now thrives on social media platforms. And 93.4% of top global companies have a strong social media reputation which has been built and maintained over the years. Now, you really have to decide of you want your organization to join the list of fortune companies or not.
You may not know, but the truth is social media marketing is responsible for a large percentage of a company's ROI (Return On Investment) than any other offline marketing strategy. In essence, social media marketing offers more than you can imagine.

1. It helps you reach out to your targeted audience. You'll agree that every company has a targeted audience whom they plan to reach out to. This audience forms the category known as ‘potential clients’. They're potential clients because your product or service is relevant to them and there's a high possibility that you'll record high sales when you reach out to the right people. As you already know, a boutique's advertisement may be irrelevant on a real estate website or blog. Social media marketing will help you reach out to the right people whenever and wherever.

2. You can also track your sales, customers’ opinions and customer's behavior on your website or blog. Your customers have a lot to say about your products and the services you offer. It may be positive or negative, all feedbacks and comments will help you serve them better. Social media is all about building reputations, so your customers reviews will always count. You can also know (if you want to) what your site visitors do when they visit your page. You can tell what pages they stayed on, what they clicked, the amount of time spent and the sites they visited after leaving your blog. There are several web analytics softwares designed to suit your business. You may also want to review your total sales, search engines ranking and your total ROI. All these are possible in the world of SMM (Social Media Marketing).

3. More audience is equal to more sales.
This is indeed really simple! The higher the number of
people you can reach, the higher the sales you can make.
But remember, if you aren't reaching out to the right
audience, you're wasting your time. There are indeed
tested and trusted methods for turning site visitors to
customers and thereby increasing your sales funnel. All
you need do is reach out to the right audience.

4. With Social media, you can make, track and review
your marketing goals. Whatever your reason may be for
choosing SMM, its easy to review it periodically. Reasons
people actually choose Social media for marketing vary.
SMM helps you achieve goals like:
• Increasing sales funnel
• Higher search engines ranking
• Better customer service and relationship management
• Brand awareness
• Website traffic and much more.

You can only measure your ROI when you set goals for your
Social media marketing.

5. Good online reputation will win the hearts of your
customers and make them customers for life.
Business in this century isn't about what you say about
yourself any longer, it's now about what people say about
you. With the sincere endorsement from just one
customer, you can make sales at an increased rate of
3.7%. Also, blog visitors who become customers as a
result of social media engagement will become long term
customers. When your customers are happy with your
services, they will promote it by sharing your page on
their Facebook pages, twitter accounts, pin interest, blogs
and all other social media platforms where they belong.

Are you in for Social Media Marketing? To get started, you'll be needing these:
• A Content writer with good knowledge of SEO
• A blog or website
• A social media manager who'll manage your social media pages and oversee your social media campaigns and targeted adverts. A good knowledge of Web Analytics will be an added advantage.

Now, you're good to go ✔
