International Politics is not played the way your response sound. Why is it that, Buhari Supporters responses to critical National Issues is always laced with annoyance and not superior argument? For Goodness sake Nigeria belong to all us, you don't own it more than me.

Sometimes Buhari needs to think before acting. South Africa won't fold their hands and watch u slap such a heavy fine on a company of theirs no matter the excuse.

Now,they have retaliated by hitting Nigeria below the belt
When I was saying that buhari hasn't got the acumen to be a civilian president ,ppl think we hate the dullard. Now he has boxed himself into a tough angle. You can't keep treating ppl and organizations like cows in daura and expect progress

Nonsense!
We can boost the domestic market in Africa For our oil.
Secure a low interest loan from China and build a west Africa gas pipeline extending all the way to Gambia...then sell at rock bottom price, govt to govt..
Russia did it in Europe...we can do it

Militants will blow it up...
Re: South Africa To Stop Buying Crude Oil From Nigeria, Opens Talks With Iran by Obijulius: 2:56pm On Jan 19, 2016
If that pipeline is to originate from any of the wells in the SS or SE the militants (who own the oil will blow up that nonsense).

Lagos and Ondo - part of your conquered territory have oil. If the subtle signs you are seeing today is not glaring enough then you must be missing something.

Nobody should buy the oil again and the global price should continue decreasing. Its currently $28 continue going down...

i even heard you even need around $28 to take it out of the ground....

imagine........................................................

oil is worthless today...

oil must sell atleast $100 for you to break even with your expensis...........

oil is nothing.......i even hope it even get more worthless...so that the earth can rest from our hunger for it.....

Stop comparing your messed up country with others, before you talk about biulding trans African pipeline to supply the whole of Africa, have you even asked if your country is meeting up with demand on west african gas pipeline project? Nigeria is the most confused & accursed country on planet earth.

I didn't say, the author of the article said so. Left to me MTN can go do one! AFAIAC we must collect every single penny of that fine. If they dont buy our Oil it's ok, we won't die, we will even be better for it because finally we will stop our over-dependence on Oil and look for other sources of revenues. The point behind posting the article was to highlight that MTN have no intention of paying.

they dont want to kini??

after breaking the laws of the land, you say it was in bad faith for the fine to be imposed, the earlier mtn leaves nigeria, the better.

Dont forget that your president too is presently breaking the law of the land. So, how is buhari different from MTN? So, does buhari has the moral right to make MTN pay a dime? No!

$26 Dollar per barrel here we come. The South African Government has just done the needful, a TIT FOR TAT policy, which the Buhari Government employed in 1984 successfully. You can kill Mtn and expect us to pay you.

Every oil buying country is taking this position. It has jack to do with MTN. India is a case in point . They are buying massively from Nigeria but have taken a position with Iran. Nigerian oil is high quality and priced above the Brent benchmark so every country wants to dilute and get the best of both worlds. Very little to do with MTN.

Retaliation indeed.... They know they have more to loose because they have a higher stake(companies) in our country. How many Nigerian companies are in s.a?

Even in S.A mtn is being investigated for insider trading.. I guess we can't fine any company that violates our rule because of "retaliation"..

NB... MTN knew about the fine it was not sudden.. $1000 fine per undisconnected sim they refused to disconnect 5.2million subscribers thus the $5.2b.
Other networks were also fined...

The whole of Gambia has a population about the size of Ibadan

what we need to do it explore other non-oil sources of revenue.

Nigerians bunch of emotional sisies! You need to be well informed first before throwing tantrums all over the show.

South Africa has always majorly bought and used the Iranian oil and Nigerian oil. Until SA was forced to stop buying crude from Iran because of the sanctions.

SA crude oil deal with Iran is an excellent deal to both countries that is not majorly influenced by the OPEC monster. SA is only going back to our working deal with Iran and we will still buy some crude oil from Nigeria but not at the levels we had to buy over the sanctions period.

They won't be affected that much, they have a more diversified economy when compared to ours that rely mostly on crude oil; we will be the one to suffer more.
