In as much I will never support any corrupt leader/person I think the above statement calls for question.

The Borno elders caused everything that is happening to them. As far as I am concerned, the immediate cause of insurgency is lack of education. They are born to rule but none of them cared about educating their children instead they are more concern about how to impoverish them more and use them for their political ambition. I am not supporting those that diverted the fund meant for the fight of insurgency(if it actually existed) but they(the Borno or even the northern elders) should not point fingers. Borno elders sponsored and still sponsoring boko haram.
