Comment from the people
“But when we saw that his uniform had torn, we advised Kingley to let him go and leave the matter to God. We suspected that the police could turn the matter against him for tearing the uniform of their officer and neglect his missing teeth.”

comment from Police PR
The Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, said it was the motorist and his condoctor who assaulted the traffic warden, adding that Charles’ uniform was torn during the attack on him.

She said, “The traffic warden was beaten by a commercial bus driver and his conductor who are still at large. His service uniform was torn to pieces. He was rescued by a team of policemen deployed in the scene. The case will be dealt with decisively.”

If he can do this with one blow, Furry should look his back.

Imagine the statement from the PRO. She has concluded that the motorist and his conductor were guilty until proven innocent.

These are the kinds of behaviours that fosters corruption. I would rather pay N500 than lose one teeth from a punch to my face.

I am really inclined to say that Nigeria is not very far from hell. If you can survive here, you probably have a good shot at surviving there too.

Confirm

You can never win the Police even if they are wrong. What is N50.00. You should have given him with a heavy curse and proceed on your way to avoid loosing 3 teeth's. Now see what N50.00 has caused you.

the public witnesses comment never land and the police lies as usual came in.
there was a news report about a baby left by the public to cry to death last week in akwa ibom, we all cursed the public for their actions, now we get this in lagos that her residents are more enlightened about the law and rights, see as the police turn the case against the victim.

Imagine the hipocrisy of the Nigerian Police Force. They have not given the other party fair hearing, including obtaining testimonies from witnesses, but have already concluded that the driver was at fault.

grammar is more important than vocabulary..past tense of cost is cost, oga
DirtyGold:
The moral of the story is, do not engage uncivilized street people in flimsy squirmishes. The driver's stubborness has costed him his teeth which even 5000 naira cannot replace.

Police brutality, IGP Arase, what's the business?

evn d police p.r.o proved d pple right, dey wil always take sides wt deir colleagues. d police needs an internal disciplinary unit.

sometimes i wish all nigerian policemen drop dead..useless pple

Mr grammarian, I understand that you have a waec certificate. But, there's more of english than the basic you know. Past tense, past participle...
I didn't misapply that word but you don't have to take my word for it sha, google is your friend mister.

Have a nice day sir.
