SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT: WE STAND WITH WIKE

Good morning, good people of Rivers State, and ardent supporters of the NEW Rivers State Government. Today is the beginning of an important process in the history of Rivers State. The Supreme Court of Nigeria is presently hearing the appeal case brought to it by the Rivers State Governor, Barr. Ezenwo Wike, following the annulment of his election by the Rivers State election tribunal which was sat in Abuja, and the endorsement of that action by the Court of Appeal.

Because the Governor believes in the democratic process that brought him to service by Rivers people, he has decided to exhaust all available legal options to defend the votes of Rivers electorates. There are different angles to today’s hearing. The first is that this is the first hearing at the Supreme Court, which means there could be subsequent hearings. The second is that a decision may be reached today after the hearing, which would result in one of two options: Governor Wike is re-affirmed Governor by the Supreme Court; or a rerun of the governorship elections in the state could be ordered.

The most likely outcome is the affirmation of Governor Wike, since all the evidence indicate a lawful, peaceful, free, fair, and credible elections in Rivers State, through which the Governor emerged. If the Supreme Court today decides on a rerun, however, rivers people are unshaken, as the same votes which were counted in the state on the 11th of April, last year would be counted in the rerun, and a landslide victory for Governor Wike and Rivers people would be inevitable. Just like in Bayelsa, the people of Rivers State and South-South will always unite against political tyranny in the guise of unreal change chants.

While Rivers people readily await the outcome of the Supreme Court session(s), bear one thing in mind: Governor Wike remains Governor of Rivers State.

Wike's attempt at hanging on to any material that could keep him afloat is laughable. Why's he wasting unnecessary monies to set up groups at this deciding minute?undecided Last last, these guys would collect their monies for fulfilling their part of the deal and then Wike will look forward to a rerun. Funny man.

He would HAVE. But the involvement of the Former First Lady and the killings during the last election have tipped the scale against him. Surprisingly, Dakuku and the APC played an "Emotional Game" with the people by "grieving" the dead in an inspiring campaign. Wike seems to have lost this one. The many defections of power houses in the state also calls for concern. I don't see Wike returning.

Wike romance with Rivers people ends with this supreme court judgement today. By the time his robbery of government coffers becomes public knowledge, they will see him as he really is, an evil man intent on robbing his people blind. History will judge him very harshly and posterity will condemn him.

Be there and be deceiving yourself! Your Wike is gone forever in the history books of Rivers state! He is a thief and a thief shall he be, his name shall be expunged from the governors list of Rivers.

What if the reverse be the case ? I hope you kill yourself !
Re: Supreme Court Judgment: We Stand With Wike by Nobody: 6:38pm On Jan 27, 2016
I think a rerun is more likely in this case. If I am Wike I wouldn't even bother to go to the Supreme Court because in reality if the Lower court and the Appeal court have the same ruling, it is only in 2 out of 10 chances that the Supreme Court will say otherwise. He should just start strategizing for the rerun because it won't be easy this time around. The circumstances are different now from the last election. APC now have a lot on their side including the Federal Might the same tool Wike used in the first election. It will be a photofinish this time around but something tells me Wike will still win. Of course by a much smaller margin this time around.
