I don't know why people condemn pastors who speak on politics.should we totally hand over the government to unbelievers who have always failed ? my opinion: if the country will be rightly fixed by a pastor let him be encouraged 2 Likes |

I don't understand why people are taking this issue this far! All priest in Enugu that have stayed two tenures in their parishes were transferred! It's part of the Catholic system. Truly something propelled it, but it was an overdue transfer. 5 Likes |

I'm really against against any Man of God dabbling into politics. These men of God are there to serve as the voice of God and also of the people. I'm a Catholic and when Fr. Mbaka started playing Partisan Politics, I just knew his sanction is near. People criticising should go n read what happened in the Catholic Church in Old Europe where Catholic Cardinals were as powerful as kings. |

/ The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing....Edmund Burke Catholic church does not speak for God. The history of Catholicism is littered with oppression, money laundry and murder. Fr. Mbaka accepted his transfer in good faith. Why all the wailing? Transfer of priests is a common practice in the Catholic church even though the timing is suspicious. The present day Nigeria needs a few good men to stand up. The mess is not going to clean itself. Everyone believes that Nigeria is rotten but no one is willing to bell the cat. The few that muster the courage to challenge the status quo are greeted with opprobrium from the same hoi polloi that they are fighting to liberate from emotional, physical and psychological servitude. As Harriet Tubman succinctly put, "I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed more if only they knew they knew they were slaves." In my candid opinion, Nigerians should be left alone until the weakest links die off--survival of the fittest. The remaining people will then adapt accordingly. It is very disheartening seeing folks chastised because they are trying to save people who do not want to be saved. / 3 Likes |

timunstopable: Bros, if you don't know about somethings, it's best you should stay clear. Firstly, there's nothing like demotion in Fr. Mbaka's case just transferring him to another Parish, which his adoration ministry with him. And Secondly, when did he campaign for Jonathan? Kindly provide the source. Why APC is romancing with him was because he predicted the Buhari will win and also openly criticised the Jonathan Administration and you know the moment you criticised the former administration openly, you automatically become friends with APC. His visit to Buhari also spoke a lot. 2 Likes |

timunstopable: Must you talk. This is not Channels Tv or TVC. You make things look difficult when you decide to bring politics into this. If it's cos of politics, then it took a process. Supporting Jonathan was the starting point and going to Aso Rock is the climax. So the church needed to act. Besides, the man needs some retreat and this is a good opportunity for him. In case you're not satisfied, This is about the Church. Or, you can go tell Oyegun and Buhari to come and reverse the decision. 2 Likes |

psucc: Everything concerns world in d way church is Bern run. Whst if a church preaches hate n violence? What if a church uses some ointment that is harmful or detrimental to her gullible congregation in d name anointing oil? Etc. Every religion has doctrines n policies that govern those in positions of authority, and they (priests,Rev.,pastors, etc) Knew about those policies n swear an oath of obedience to the rules of the Church even before they were ordained. But like I always say "priestly ordination may influence a priest's way of life but it does not remove in entirety certain behavioural patterns like, hot temper, stubbornness, etc " I think Rev.Mbaka is a stubborn Priest. 1 Like |

timunstopable:There's nothing like demotion in Catholic Church. The priestly ordination is the highest ordination in Catholic Church. The position of Pope, cardinal and bishop is just an appointment. Please refrain from saying what you don't know next time. Mbaka has been given more freedom to run his ministry without the headache of being a parish priest. That is what resident priest means in Catholic church. He is no longer required to be at his parish always there by having more time for his ministry. His ministry is not at CHRIST THE KING PARISH to start with, his ministry which is ADORATION MINISTRY ENUGU NIGERIA ( AMEN ) is located close to the Airport right there in Emene where he has been transferred to. I don't know why people are making noise about nothing. Thank you. 4 Likes 1 Share |

It is appalling and extremely ridiculous to understand from the comments i have read, that some people lack analytical ability orchestrated by the rush to be on the front page. Having said that, the question we should ask ourselves is, to what end is this transfer? Can his location be an impediment to his spiritual work? I s it an injustice to other priests, that for two decades, he worked in same parish whereas, them (other priests) had moved to about five(5) different parishes ? I have heard Mbaka on several occasions while celebrating Sunday mass and Wednesday programe respectively, commend the BISHOP of Enugu diocese for his(Mbaka) stay in the parish. He said, "it is not my right to remain in this parish to this day but a privilege because my transfer is long over due". personally, this transfer, does not in any way undermine who he is and what GOD has made him to be, nor can it be a cog in his spiritual work. My prayer is that he will grow from strength to strength. 2 Likes |

timunstopable:The apogee of knowledge is knowing the details before one gives his or her opinion. Who said he was demoted? He was demoted from What to What? It's a policy of the Church to transfer priests from one parish to the other at the discretion of the Bishop. His transfer cannot be an exception. When he was ordained a priest one of his vows just like any other Catholic priest, is to remain obedient and respectful to his Bishop. Please, don't cry more than the bereaved. |
