President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday, February 2, travel to France and Britain, twenty-four hours after returning from official visits to Kenya and Ethiopia.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina revealed on Monday, that Buhari will visit Strasbourg in France before heading to Britain on February 3, where he’ expected to address a special session of the European Union Parliament.

“The president’s address is expected to focus on terrorism, violent extremism, corruption, Nigeria and Africa’s current security, economic and developmental challenges, as well as the need for greater support from the European Union and advanced nations for their rapid resolution.”

“President Buhari will also hold talks with the president of the European Parliament, Mr. Martin Schulz and the president of the European Commission, Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker on the same issues before leaving Strasbourg for London to join other world leaders at the Supporting Syria and The Region Conference scheduled to open in the British capital on Thursday, February 4, 2016.

“The president will use the opportunity of his participation in the conference which is being co-hosted by Britain, Germany, Norway, Kuwait and the United Nations to continue his push for more global understanding, collaboration and support for Nigeria and other countries in the frontlines of the war against terrorism who are striving to overcome its very adverse effects on affected populations.

Adesina added that the President ‘is due back in Nigeria at the weekend’.

This Mr. President is definitely sneaking for medical checkups, if not, why the junketing, seems he has forgotten the promises of change he made during the electioneering campaigns, the man hasnt visited many states in Nigeria but can visit london three times since he won.

I am laughing cos four years isnt long away, he will visit all the states for campaigns, then we shall remind him.Period.

He is so scared of opposition at home that he just keeps junketeering. Tanzanian president has cut cost of governance by 60% to save money. No more useless presidential travels, Ambassadors and foreign ministers can do that. Number of Embassies reduced abroad, other country' s embassy like kenya can serve their intrests in countries like cambodia and so on.

But here we have this one touring the world to run away from the political crisis his careless 97-5% statements have brought him. I wish him luck.
