Job Summary

The house where you stay at abule egba, is it yours? If it's not, do you think it's feasible to make relocation plans? Or find someone to squat with?

Which of the 2 jobs would benefit you in the long term?

And when you mean a 2 shift job..... Is that like, you work morning today and afternoon/night tomorrow?


Personally, I've never liked the idea of teaching for anyone who did not go to school to study education. I sincerely believe it short-changes the students giving them "wetin-else-I-go-do" teachers.... And at same time limits or slows the career progression of the individual doing the teaching.

Asides career growth, calculate your T.fare and feeding on a daily basis. Forget about closing 9, you're a guy, does the job provide room for climbing the ladder? If you'll spend 25k tops monthly and the job experience is something way better compared to "by force" teaching then take it.

These are the beginning stages, you might wanna think of building your brand now and trust me accumulating teaching experience is not something that'll catapult you.

From 8am till 2pm earning 30k while maybe from 8am till 9pm earning 50k no time for himself
Teaching is one of the most lucrative careers in Nigeria. If he knows his ways ,from 2pm till 9pm he can earn more maybe through lessons and it will even be more than the 50k job at Bariga

Do you know that people are making 350-400k teaching? Its just knowing the right school and having the passion and also the credentials.
As I said before ,it depends on the person that wears the cap shaa.

From 8am till 2pm earning 30k while maybe from 8am till 9pm earning 50k no time for himself
Teaching is one of the most lucrative careers in Nigeria. If he knows his ways ,from 2pm till 9pm he can earn more maybe through lessons and it will even be more than the 50k job at Bariga

You may not be wrong but Appliedmaths is absolutely right.

It depends on what he wants to be and achieve in the future.

For example, I want to be an engineer. The probability of actualizing this by teaching (even though it gives me time for myself and saves me money) is low.

Sometimes, we need to pass through hard and uneasy conditions to actualize what we dreamt of.
