JOB OVERVIEW:
The Renovation Architect is responsible for the development of project specific details, preparation and coordination of clear concise drawings, space mapping and renovation project coordination.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop construction details that comply with the overall design intent and project budget
• Prepare complete and concise design and construction drawings including checking and coordinating details and dimensions
• Conduct existing conditions site survey
• Ongoing review and checking of the documents for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in checking submittals and responding to requests for information
• Assists in building/renovation project planning, policy, and procedure development.
• Participates in budget development.
• Represents the official at site meetings.
• Develops and implements project goals and plans.
• Negotiates proposed change orders with contractors, sponsors, architects, and/or professional service contractors; investigates documentation on these change orders and recommends action on same.
• Verifies that work for which payment is requested has been satisfactorily completed.
• Conducts meetings with, and arbitrates between, contractors, architects, owners, attorneys, and governmental agencies concerning contract requirements, job conditions, progress, workmanship, disputes, allocation of funds, and other problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Professional Degree in Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2 to 4 years building/architectural experience
• Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimensions
• Experience in BIM model building for building construction projects or equivalent education background
• Working knowledge of 2d and 3d modelling (autocad, 3ds Max, Sketchup)
• Knowledge of the reporting methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of standards of quality in building construction, alteration and repair.
