Why would any one wana destory what we built for years over nite

You have a country where the igbo, yorubas, hausa are inter-mixed for far too long as a family

In a global world today, united we are the stronger we will be

a country at the mercy of the envy from the outside world

breakin nigeria, will that really fix any thing

am afraid biafara is dead cuz a lot of igbo visualise that as a really laughin stock, u can post all that stuff on biafara, it dead, it dead!! u know it

why dont we sort out our difference and burden to get alone

which involves constitution amendment

Only if states are allowed to control their resources and govern themselves without undue interference from fed govt.

if u claimed to be clever; them u must be able to apply ur knowledge to revamp our country

all that war and secession talk could be apply on somewhere

cuz we understand the bullies and the pain igbos went through, make no mistake about that, but emm there might be other ways out there to get things moving

if the igbos really love their land like they say, trust me biafara would be an alternative, sure the igbo themselves can make a lot of changes

all the igbos around the world can build 7-star hospital etc etc in igboland, yet nobody is talkin about that

all yall see is secession,u cant be serious

lets stop messin around and wake our ass up,relie on ourselves cuz we got the capacity to build and forget about Fg which will come beggin i think

Nigerian muslims want new constitution
National News

KANO — The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria has demanded a brand new constitution that would bequeath to the nation true federalism.

The Council’s position came on the heel of proposed amendments exercise by the National Assembly on the 1999 constitution.

Secretary-General of the Council, Alhaji Lateef Adegbite, who spoke in Kano during the first Islamic Summit organised by a Zaria-based Muslim Research and Planning explained that it was long over due to jettison the 1999 constitution.

Adegbite said Nigeria required a constitution that is ethically based in view of its multi-religious status, stressing that such constitutional freedom would guarantee each faith a suitable style in line with their religious practices.

“We must have a system that is ethically based, and our problems in Nigeria is that we allowed a constitution that is evil based while the Muslims had allowed themselves to be westernised against the superior civilisation the religious book bequeath to them,” he said.

Adegbite lamented that by accident of the existing order, Nigerian Muslims had been westernised to the detriment of superior civilisation bequeath to them by Quran, adding that immediate action should be employed to reverse the status quo.

“It’s long over due for us to have an all encompassing constitution that will bequeath to the nation true federalism and guarantee constitutional freedom to Muslims,” he said.

The Secretary-General explained that Nigerian Muslims should be given the right to operate a constitution that suits their religion in such states where they controlled absolute majority in the spirit of true federalism.

His speech that attracted loud ovation from the audience reinforced the legendary agitation by Nigerian Muslims for a separate constitution in the country as a panacea to true federalism in Nigeria.

The three-day summit under the chairmanship of former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, will appraise the religion in the context of the merging challenges in the world.

In a goodwill message, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar called on Muslims to unite in the interest of the religion and peaceful coexistence with others.

The end of nigeria is near, its either we perish due to ethnic wars or religious wars.

Once again muslims showing that they are only able to evangelise by use of force whenever they are in a majority in any state, as they say give the devil a small chance he would eventually take a big one. Funny that the north is already practising federalism by using state religious policing and forcing christians in their state to conform to islamic rules. Now they are slowly going towards trying to make nigeria a full blown islamic state, men the earlier we split the better, cus this is really gettting very ridiculous in every way or form.

If there is something i envy the Ibos for its the fact that they do not have islam amongst their midst.

Once a muslim, always a muslim, a moderate muslim is just one who is not yet ready to kill, cus wen he is ready, he sure has a justification for it within their quran.

Its like this man called Adegbite never learned from history or something, Yorubas and Hausas do not mix whether muslim or not. Now he is seeking to justify something unreasonable. How many times has christians enforced a law on muslims against their will. Afonjas did the same thing in ilorin and they are still suffering for it by putting islamic goals before their ethnic goals. Seriously yoruba muslims that behave like this are seriously bastards of the highest order.

Men this is completely stupid, Niger Delta needs to completely control their oil themselves, let the muslim north practise sharia with their kolanut money, thats their problem.

At least someone is smart enough to know where all these is going, the muslim Yorubas more aligned to the north will always be pro north, and eventually would bring sharia law to Yoruba regions that are predominantly Muslims, ethnic solidarity would be short changed with a religious one, and they would at long run be left in the cold. infact this is the reason why the Yorubas are undecided on Nigeria affairs, the South East and the South South are agitating now because they can simultaneously speak with individual regional voice without religious sentiments, wake up people.
