Have you ever asked yourself what causes menstrual pain you experience monthly depriving you of smooth lively hood and inflicting unpleasing pains on your gentle soul?

Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) could be primary or secondary. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs to ladies 20 years and below and has no pathological signs while secondary dysmenorrhea occurs due to identifiable medical problems,


Primary dysmenorrhea is more common among young women and some more prone to it than others depending on how exposed they are to risk factors. The risk factors are


Starting menstrual period at early age (Age 11 and younger): [/b]If you started menstruation at a very young age, you might experience menstrual pain.


[b]Heavy menstrual blood
: The heavier the blood the more prone you are to menstrual pain


Overweight and Obese; if you have a high BMI you should try to cut down your body fat. It is a risk factor to having menstrual pain. Having high body fat has more disadvantages than advantages. You might want to know why you remain fat


Smoking cigarette: If you are chronic smoker apart from it debilitating your health. It might affect your period instigating menstrual pain.


Haven't been pregnant befor[/b]e: It is common among those that have not giving birth before after giving birth pain should ameliorate.


[b]Family history
: if your family members complained of experiencing serious menstrual pain then you should be getting ready for how to manage it too because you might likely have menstrual pain too.


Junk food and lack of exercise; Are you a persistent junk food consumer? Do you exercise at all? If not then you are at risk of having menstrual pain. Eat less of junk food, do more of exercise, and live healthy.


Secondary dysmenorrhea occurs due to some medical problems and it mostly cause by a disease, condition or situations. Secondary dysmenorrhea is caused by

Endometriosis : This is a painful medical condition that occurs when the lining of the uterus grow to other parts of the body this causes a painful menstrual pain.


Fibroid in uterus : About three out of four women will develop uterine fibroid in their lifetime and fibroid has been associated to not only increasing bleeding but also promotes menstrual pain.

Pelvic inflammatory diseases: This is an infection of the uterus, Fallopian tube, or ovaries this is often caused by STDs

STD : Unprotected sex is all harmful; contracting STD that will cause menstrual pain is going to be a night mare so protect yourself.

Adenomysis: This is actually a rare condition in which the uterine lining grows into the uterine muscular wall. This causes a painful menstruation.

Stress and anxiety : Excessive stress , depression and anxiety has been linked to causing menstrual pain.

IUD: intrauterine devices are used for birth control. IUD made if copper is associated with increase pain during menstruation .When you want to engage in controlling birth find a safer way.
