Why dont u become a priest if you love hearing confessions so much. You always try to make people admit crimes they are not guilty of.

I wanted to share this CV. We all know the struggle to find a job, to find appreciation for our talents, to find fulfilness in the work we do. We also all know how difficult it can be to find the (dream) job, we all now the feeling of being rejected, of applying fruitless, time after time. Whatever smart, skilled or talented we are...it can easily drive us into depression ...feeling useless, stuck at the sideway of the road while the success-traffic passes by. Don't we?

Earlier, we discussed the usefulness of failing with SonOfLucifer. It shows that we at least have tried, and that we kept trying... Just like this professor... He invites us to be proud of our failures and rejections...one simply cant succeed without failing first many times.

Just wondering...what would be on your failure-cv? Feel free to share thoughts and stories. Lets inspire one another with each others stories.

Loj, it is safe to come back ;-)
Logicbwoy, its safe to share you priestcareer, I wont be nasty, okay. kiss

I prefer hot chocolate.
No, I don't. How is that possible?

Lol. Maybe I'd add 'Bullshit Tolerant Expert' in the honours I didn't get. I was receptive to a lot of things in the past and very angry. Some crazy guys used to call me 'Angry Nigerian Youth'. Lol. There was a day I took on the entire staffs in my Department and everyone thought I've literally gone mad.

Another one I failed to get was 'Exam rules specialist'. Lol. I hated the way the lecturers wanted us to answer questions. Like cramming up the entire textbook and answering the questions with those exact some words. It affected my grades but I was too righteous(Lol) in my method to even consider it a problem. Lol.

This is the Rey we like so much heheheh

Lol, I like that Angry Nigerian Youth title, you should indeed become head of the ANY-movement! ANY-one can!
I think I can associate with this rebellious nature, even me in a different education system used to object to stupid exam questions. I can remember the different times that stupid multiple choice questions had to be withdrawn of the results because of my opposition to them. Lol, at least something for on my success cv...

My failure cv...mmm I doubt anybody is interested in that one grin

Lol. That is a nice one. The thing is, I love education but I hate controlled education. I hate to be told that this is the only way to think. I hate to hear that Shakespeare height in Literature is the highest anyone can ever reach. I hate to read that Mungo Park discovered River Niger.

I hate to hear that if I don't write Poetry like Milton or William then it's poor Poetry. I just hate to be taught wrongly. I honestly thought a lot lecturers taught us badly and their marking scheme too poor for lecturers. Go ahead. Let's see your failure CV account.

Lol, I so share your education frustration! Hehehe we really should drink a coffee, this my icecoffee with amaretto and almond icecream inside tastes everything but coffee and you would love it too.

Failure CV...ahum...I think I have suppressed most memories grin

1. As a teenager I participated in a french language contest, although I scored high for a non-native speaker, it was not good enough to make it to the next round and make chance on a free trip to Paris.
2. I was headhunted while still in law school by a law firm but when I went for the interview in the office I felt so uncomfortable and out of place in the environment that I messed up the interview. I think my lack of passion for the job was written with capitals on my face.
3. Out of thousands of poems in a national poetry contest mine got selected to the next round but there it got stuck somehow, somewhere.
4. I wrote a research proposal for governmental funding, the project was classified as interesting but not given priority for funding.
5. I dropped out of my phd program after having finished the project for 80%, how health problems and a heartache can destroy a carreer.
6. I sent countless applications for research positions, training programs, jobs in different european union institutes, the WHO, the UN, etc. All fruitless. Few times, I made it to the next round but mostly I received a letter that they had like this number of candidates (often hundreds) but that I was not chosen.
7. I applied for many internships I never got into.

Sometimes one needs to take a lot of death roads to find the right road...I am a living example of a crazy carreer, of wins and losses, of starting over again.

Wish you all the strength to keep trying and hang on to your dream but also to stay open minded to find new callings in your life you would have never thought of before.

I like spread sheets. You really need to keep record of your victory signs. Because that is what failures are. They show that you had the courage to try something.

If there is anyway we can be of help to keep the tunnel shorter and to speed up the light, let it know!

Bleach.... Followed that one religiously until they completely lost the plot. Abi exhausted all their creativity.

Naruto.. Not too much though.

Tried One Piece once. Never really enjoyed it. I'm more into Rick and Morty these days, and South Park too.
