The troops of the Nigerian Army have raided one of the hideouts of the Boko Haram insurgents in Doksa, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman said in an electronic mail on Sunday that the operation involved troops of the 231, 331 battalions and some elements of the Armed Forces Special Forces 3 Division.

Usman said that the troops killed two of the insurgents and captured another identified as Musa Abdulahi.

He stated also that the the troops also recovered two military uniforms, one General Purpose Gun, one AK 47 rifle and two Dane guns.

Also said to have to have been recovered during the operation were ’25 motorcycles, 30 bicycles and grinding machines, as well as large quantity of foodstuffs.’

He said that the troops discovered during the operation that the terrorists were also poisoning sources of water supply apart from burying IEDs in the operational area.

According to him, the troops encountered two of such devices and successfully removed them.

The Acting Army Spokesman said that the troops who according to him were in high spirit as they continued with the operation against the insurgents.

Usman stated also in another statement that the troops of the 122 Task Force Battalion and the 26 Task Force Battalion carried out a major operation that resulted in the clearance of Boko Haram camps in Dure, Sambisa Forest.

According to him, the camps were cleared in Dure 1, Dure 2, Jango Dibiye and others in the operational area.

Usman said that three soldiers were injured during the attack and were promptly evacuated for medical attention.

He said that several items including materials for making IEDs, grain storage facilities, two hand-held Motorola radios were destroyed while three of the insurgents were killed.

Usman quoted the General Officer Commanding the 7 Div. Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu, as having said Dure 1 and Dure 2 were strongholds of the Boko Haram in mainland of Sambisa.

This is going to hurt "them" as usual even if they pretend to like it- like someone above.

Good one our gallant Men. It's been one conquest after another, and so shall it remain.

If the previous administration had exerted just half of the energy of the current administration in tackling BH menace they would have been defeated since late 2012. But no, with all the petro dollars at their disposal they decided to steal everything and play politics wit BH.

At this rate even BH will be praying for buhari to slow down on their matter and face other threats. Insha Allah I see BH completely obliterated by 2017.

In buhari's voice : "no one should dare our security forces" (they know themselves)

Sometimes I sit and wonder what motivates someone to put his life at high risk to provide safety and security to some of us.
I salute our armed forces who have ensured we are safer than before.

In the face of humiliation and defeat, the sect tries hard to balance a psychological hold on the populace by carrying out carefully planned, deadly attacks, which in most cases attracts floods of criticisms geared towards the govt and the security agencies. This is a phenomenom that modern day terrorists have gotten accustomed to. This is why security cannot be left to security agents alone.

Everyone has to be involved.

In the last few weeks, the army seems to be making a lot of head way. No bombings for weeks now. No new BH propaganda videos for a long time. Keep it up.

When will the army raid hideouts of the demonic fulani herdsmen who go about raping and killing with AK 47s

Fulani demonic herdsmen are the fourth deadliest terror group in the world and they are operating freely in Nigeria.

Nigerian troops can only kill three Boko haram members at a goal but if it were somewhere in river state they kill, arrest 18, and recovers numerous arms and amunitions.
I wonder if boko haram operates in three number in a group!
