In saner climate the minister of petroleum would have resigned.

Are you as sane as those sane climes?

Naija...similar to a person that cuts himself with a knife and complains when he starts bleeding.

Miscreants blow up pipe line....a lot of imbeciles rejoice at the news, when fuel becomes scarce, naira becomes weak etc, they are the ones shouting the loudest that things are not working.

When things get fixed, they call it propaganda...a shame really.

When are they going to secure oil pipelines already? Use of sensors, motion detectors, electrocution, security cameras is cheaper than all these monthly repairs and shutdown. What happened to emergency response squads where they swarm an area 5mins after an alarm? Do they have two heads in other countries where these things work?
My exact opinion, excuse of vandalism is becoming untenable, the solution can never be continuos repair, never. There has to be a sustainable solution to pipeline vandalism, if the FG can not secure it, then the pipelines can be privatised, i am aware there were moves in very recent past to privatise the pipeline networks. It is utterly annoying to be told that pipelines are broken and all that is done is to simply fix it.

Why did they close it before??

Anyway, it's good as they are about to open it. Atleast we have a partially working refinery. Gradually, Nigeria will be great.

Vandalism is part of the reason our refineries aren't working at optimum and also constant electricity blackouts.

I think death sentence should be the punishment for pipeline vandalism

You better make peace with the ND-Freedom Fighters... someone should tell bubu so

AM TIRED OF THIS 1 STEP FORWARD 3 STEPS BACKWARD,KADUNA REFINERY OPENED AFTER FEW DAYS CLOSED,ELECTRICITY GENERATED WAS 5000 3 WEEKS AGO BUT NOW 2500 OR LESS,NOW PORT HARCOURT REFINERY IS OPENED LETS SEE HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE.fingers crossed.

SOREZA

The real refineries in nigeria are the warri, portharcourt ,calabar refineries all other refineries like kaduna and suleja are political refineries, they don't produce anything but get the most allocations at the expense of the 3 earler mentioned.

Kaduna refinery should be converted to a dairy refinery, let it refine cows milk

The pipelines have to be privatized (PPP) -- no two ways about it as it is, the gov't have enemies within + oil cabals who would never want it to work.

It is cheaper that way than spending 40% of our forex on imports.

LoL, which militants?

The same ones paid by some NNPC staff in conjunction with some oil cabals to blow off pipelines?

Some miscreant militants are not solely responsible for this -- they know -- I KNOW.
