The case of total eradication of Guinea worm in the country seems not to be true as a fresh case of Guinea worm was discovered over the week at a community in Abakaliki LGA of Ebonyi state.
The victim who hail from Igbeagu Unuhu Izzi a setting behind Army Barracks Nkweagu Abakaliki LGA said he started experiencing some pains at his ankle and thought it was just an ordinary wound, started taking medication until just few days back when worm started coming out of it.
The victim Mr. linus while answering questions from officers of the NIGEP (NIGERIA GUINE WORM ERADICATION PROGRAM) admits that the community has as a source of drinking water, a pond and a borehole.

The lawmaker explained that the bill was also intended to prohibit online telemarketing without prior consent of a subscriber. He explained that currently, there was no legislation to address the prevalence of these unsolicited messages in the country, thereby leaving the consumers at the mercies of telephone service providers.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, therefore, referred to the bill.

They probably did not consider the free speech implications. Rather than bring up a bill, a telecoms regulation with precise conditions can be used to bar the unsolicited calls and messages. It will apply only to the telecoms coys.

it should also be extended to banks. Access and UBA banks for instance. they are becoming crazy with the sms tool
