In continuation of its war against Boko Haram terrorism in the Northeast, the Nigerian army, on Monday, announced that its troops, in conjunction with civilian vigilantes, have dislodged Boko Haram terrorists at Gwashari village, Borno state.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations.

During the operation, one terrorist was shot dead and three were arrested while several fire arms, cash and some unnamed drugs were recovered.

The Nigerian army has in recent weeks mounted an increased attack with the sole intention of ending the Boko Haram insurgency.

It would be recalled that last week, a United States military officials testified that Boko Haram still holds some territories in Nigeria.

“Troops of 254 Task Force Battalion, 25 Task Force Brigade in conjunction with vigilantes have conducted clearance operation of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists at Gwashari village along Damboa-Bale road.

“During the patrol, the troops encountered some elements of the Boko Haram terrorists in which they killed one and captured 3 others. They also recovered 1 Dane gun, AK-47 rifle magazine, 2 knives, assorted drugs and the sum of N142,000 from the terrorists. “

This is a good step. The work of Nigerian army in conjunction with Multi National Joint Task Force(MNJF) is yielding quite a desirable fruits.
But how come these territories are being Reclaimed when we are made to think that Book haram control no part of Nigeria territory?

Thought we were told that no territory was under Boko Haram's control. This government was baked in falsehood.
