FoodRe: Bill Gates-backed Company Creates Butter Made From Carbon Without Animals Or Oil by 29Ade07: 2:57pm On Aug 24, 2025
Nature has and will always be self-sustaining as long as we obey simple law of nature. For example, as long as the earth remains seed time and harvest time will not cease. Also the animal kingdom is self-sustaining as long we allow them to live the way God has made them. I see no reason in making artificial butter when God has created cows that we can rear to give us enough milk for butter why not invest in rearing more animals organically if we feel that we are running low on cows.I am convinced that the best way to feed our body is to give it what comes from the ground since that is where our bodies came from. Messing up with nature in the name of science will only end up in problems. I am a scientist and I support innovations and scientific breakthrough, however let us not include altering biological algorithm in the name of science. It is folly in simple terms

No worries. You acted in faith and sincerity. It was not your fault. All the best though. That aside, I also saw in one of the newspapers that PTDF and NNPCL signed a MOU last week wednesday on research, development and technology. This may have delayed ratification etcetera.

RomanceRe: Can I Inherit Everything If My Husband Dies Without A Will? by 29Ade07: 12:31pm On Aug 20, 2025
Thanks Lawyer for the brilliant enlightenment. This reminds me of the case of one rich business magnate who passed on sometimes ago. When the lawyer read the will it included a clause that the wife inheritance was conditioned on her remaining unmarried. I remember a lot of people on this thread were reacting emotionally and saying that the lady should go and challenge that in court. I find it disturbing that a lot of Nigerian youth are willfully ignorant with a sarcastic pride. A man worked all his life and want to preserve his legacy in the face of death yet some online keyboard warriors are contesting his decision on his property. Thanks the woman in question was smart enough by not going to court.
LawWithEbele:
Lawyer, can I inherit everything if my husband dies without a will?

Many women think the answer is yes.
The law says no.

If he married under the Marriage Act, that is statutory marriage, his estate will be shared according to the relevant provisions of the Administration of Estate of the Deceased Law between wife and children.

The wife gets 1/3 of the estate.
The children gets 2/3 of the estate.
The wife has only life interest in the 1/3 she got. This simply means that she cannot sell or part with it. If she remarries, she loses everything to the husband's estate.

If he married under Customary Law the customary law will decide who gets what. His family may even claim a large part.

If he married under Islamic Law his estate is divided strictly by Qur’anic rules.

One fact is clear: a wife does not automatically inherit all.

That is why every man should make a will.It protects his wife, his children, and his legacy.

I am Ebelechukwu Aroh, the Nigerian family and property lawyer.I help you protect what you cannot afford to lose- your land, your legacy, and your family.

Okay sir
MEERLEEQ:
I am very sure, I am in Finance, I know how it works. They already have the numbers of winners they intend to award, and each maximum cost is allocated to each unit before these sorts of applications are rolled out. Also, if anything, they will have even better budget to accommodate more winners if they want due to the split UK - CPESK initiative for PhD. It's ratification that usually causes delay; you know agencies and bureaucracy. All the best to us all. Also remember even if they award, scholars are allowed to still change schools and courses as long as they are part of the approved list. So, they can't determine actual cost with certainty at this time.
EducationRe: PTDF Opens 2025/2026 Overseas Scholarship Applications by 29Ade07: 4:05pm On Aug 11, 2025
Are you veeeery sure?Budget is fixed for the year no doubt but accommodating and allocating to different scholars within the fixed budget considering your school, program and country is what I mean.
MEERLEEQ:
Financial planning happens at the beginning of the period not when the issue have already materialized. At this stage, I think it's just ratification. All the best to everyone.
EducationRe: PTDF Opens 2025/2026 Overseas Scholarship Applications by 29Ade07: 3:28pm On Aug 11, 2025
Grading and selection does not take time. This I believe is what the panelist do decide at the end of each interview. However, weighing the number of selected winners with respect to the available budget for each year is what I believe takes the bulk of the time. For example, for every selected PhD scholar, the budget prepared will be for the entire three years of study and not just for the first year. This takes some good accounting and planning. In addition some winners who might be candidates of strong politicians will also be provided for. This does not hinder or reduce the merit candidates who went through the entire process. Factoring all these in will not make you anxious. However, I believe the result will be released this month.
FamilyRe: What Are You Paying For? Reno Omokri Asks Men Who Pay Bride Price For Non-Virgin by 29Ade07: 8:01pm On Aug 05, 2025
Oga, the qualification of a virgin was the most basic requirement needed to be Jesus's mother. Read Isaiah 7:14. That meant all non-virgins where automatically sifted out. However,Mary had some other godly attributes that separated her from all other virgins. I strongly believe she was not the only virgin in Israel at that time.If Mary was not a virgin, Jesus 's claim to divinity would have been seriously marred and questioned.
Merry100:
In Scripture, women were treated with dignity; Jesus Himself uplifted and respected women regardless of their past. There isn't a single verse in the Bible where God rewarded a woman simply for being a virgin.

Mary being chosen wasn't a reward for her virginity; it was to fulfill prophecy, align with the lineage of David, and emphasize a miraculous birth.

If your logic held, Mary Magdalene wouldn't have been the first to witness the risen Christ. Virginity has never been presented as a qualification to be valued, blessed, or favoured by God.

Embrace that and be ready to embrace the sicknesses and health challenges ravaging the west due to these decisions. The mother earth has always and will always be sufficient to produce yield that will feed the people if only we are serious.Don' t let us act out of imaginary fear. God has said seed time and harvest will not cease. Have you wondered why our great grandfather's lived long and healthy .They ate purely organically in its natural state. It beats my imagination that we Africans tends to believe everything the west does is always right.American system is big but hollow.
Osgilliat:
Whether we like it or not, we will embrace GMO in Nigeria. Traditional agriculture can’t sustain us anymore, you will think that when we do more traditional agriculture our hunger situation will change but it won’t because of our massive population. The more reliance on fertilizer to meet up the more our crops are render useless and decay.
It’s either we embrace GMO or go hungry.
Science/TechnologyRe: This Joke Might Be True In The Future If We Allow GMO Take Over Our Soil by 29Ade07: 1:48am On Jul 27, 2025
Technically,it is american thing. They are not allowed in Europe or China
You don't tamper with nature and not face the consequence. The God who put us here was not stupid to have designed crops and plants to work according to certain specifications. Tampering with that comes with myriads of problem. Have you wondered
that inspite of the advanced healthcare, americans battles with most modern ailments.is not everything that america does that is right, they have
lots of problem too.

It has always been three university choice and three research proposal abinitio. Some people submit just one or three. However, it is common for people to dwell on their first choice. They spend average of 20 minutes per applicant. This time also include sighting of your documents. So you cant be defending three proposals.

EducationRe: My Mentee Got 312 In JAMB, 94 In Mathematics! by 29Ade07: 12:05pm On May 13, 2025
It is easier said sir. I wish it was that easy when JAMB is testing circa 2 million each year. How will JAMB conduct seminar for over 2 million people. The logistics and financial implication is going to be very challenging. From practical standpoint it is a safe option. Remember that it was the same public lambasting JAMB for testing as early as 6:30am. Truly, you cannot please everybody in life.
Why will JAMB manipulate results when students are easily scoring 300+? Years ago when the test was PBT and results were released after some months nko. What is even the guarantee that it will result in zero
casualty.
,
shortgun:
This explanation cannot be accepted as a valid justification for delaying CBT exam results. The integrity and efficiency of the examination system cannot be compromised for students emotional well-being. JAMB should integrate proper sensitization, preparing the children psychologically ideally should be part of the exam preparation process. Teaching candidates how to process and respond to unfavorable outcomes is a critical part of educational development.

Delaying results will only breed suspicion, reduce transparency and undermines the candidates’ trust in the system.
Our children should be equipped with emotional intelligence and resilience needed to face challenges, this is the true purpose of education
EducationRe: My Mentee Got 312 In JAMB, 94 In Mathematics! by 29Ade07: 9:10am On May 13, 2025
That was how CBT started. However, the children could not handle the shock at most CBT centres. Hence they resorted to delaying the result by some days in order to douse tension and prevent recording casualties at CBT centres or on the way home from UTME examination
shortgun:
Jamb still has a long way to go as far as Computer based assessment is concerned.
All effective CBT systems are fully automated minimizing or completely eliminating human interference.
Every CBT result should be displayed immediately a student clicks the submit button, this will build trust in the exam process.
There's no logical reason why students would have to wait for days to get their results in a CBT unless ofcourse someone wants to manipulate the results.

And some people still think Paper examination is a true test of knowledge in this 21st century.

All schools should be hindered and training centers should be established, where the skills of individuals will be examined and not some theoretical gibberish that won't be applied even in a toilet sit
Saying all schools should be hindered is downright extreme. The society needs both the theory and practice for advancement to occur. It is like the CPU of a computer that can process 3 billions set of information per second. However, it receives this instructions from the RAM which derives its machine language from the program stored in the Hard disk of solid state drive.
The equipment these brilliant lads are using is built on time tested theories in physics. Someone somewhere manufactured them based on established body of knowledge. Even the USB cord they are producing is a set of fibre consisting of conductors, insulators e.t.c that transmits electrical impulses. These are established physical theories.

Better put, our societies needs people and universities that propounds theories while at the same time we also need technical guys who can dexterously translate theses knowledge in solving societal problems. They are like the two wheel of an okada. You need both to move.
