All of you are turning blind eyes to part I said "if she insults".... And only focus on the "hit" part.

It's okay.

Once you insult my mom, you're on your own if she chooses to discipline you.
Focus on these key ways "Insult, Discipline"
Na small pikin you be. Dem go too beat your mama o. Even her grandchildren go beat her when they grow up if you let her have such freedom. Since that na the culture. Imagine, discipline an adult as wetin? God? Your mama go collect.

That's why david said, "He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies"

Nothing like village people except she was poisoned. More than likely stress from her nursing job. Naija people don’t know the kind of stress they call work abroad. Oyinbo de take break and avoid excess shift but Naija want to peppper everyone and get on Nairaland front page claiming they bought a big house just 1month of getting to the UK. Not knowing work de kill.

My mother has the right to discipline my wife if she insult her, because the day we got married my mother automatically becomes her own mother and her mother becomes mine. (Western Zombies please don't quote me, because in Africa it's a community that raise kids)

The only wrong I can see here is hitting her while she's pregnant. A motherly slap would had been enough.

I doubt if God himself understands women, it's almost impossible for women to live in peace with themselves.

I've never seen or heard father in laws battling themselves, it's always women.
You think na every family de fight like area boys and girls like your own. Hope you no go marry woman wey go beat your mama and you together. Will you allow your father in law to do the same? Enter your house and beat you because he feels insulted by you. Some of una de craze sha. You no de think. It’s better you marry your mother o. Your mother can never be your wife’s mother, know this and understand life.

Investment › Re: Elie Bitar: 41 Yr Old Foreigner Wanted By EFCC For CBEX Scam by 2mch(m): 3:15am On May 01, 2025
Who gave him visa? That investment visa is not supposed to be for anybody that has 200 dollars. There should be a limit to it. For US it’s 5m. For Nigeria it should be nothing less than 500m. What ever country he’s from they need to find it and request that he’s brought back to answer to Nigeria. Send the request to Interpol too and Nigeria immigration should be able to trace the country he traveled to if he has left the country.

Don't talk about what you have not experienced before.

If you like be present in 500 childbirth, if your woman no get good character na manage you go still dey manage am.

The ancient midwives wey no dey allow men dey present know wetin dem dey do.

Besides there is something off about an witnessing his wife open her legs wide with like 6 total strangers present. It actually subtracts from her mystique.

The whole idea is foolish and of no merit to the marriage and is a product if all these modern feminist jargons.
You are obviously a small boy!

donbenie:
If you think men have to beheld their wives giving birth to bond, for some psychological harebrain reason then you are sadly mistaken.

All it does is to lower the man's physical and se.xual appreciation of the woman.

Men are visual beings and have no need to encounter such displays.

The old generations knew this and kept husbands away from the labour room but this woke generation thinks they know better.
You don’t enter the labor room and come out the same. Mature men who go through the experience with their wives forge a stronger bond.

otipoju:
It actually does not. In fact it removes the allure and mystique of the pathway overtime as the image of its expansion is seared in your mind and you will start developing a preference for ladies that have never given birth.

A respectful person does not need to see the needless to bond in any way.
No how you will go through childbirth with your wife and you won’t get closer. Except the person has something wrong with him.

The person that brought the idea of men being in the labor room is a foolish person.
No be you put am there? You don’t want to see the result of your relentless nacking? It will make you appreciate your wife more. All men need to see it. So useless boys and family members will not have the guts to abuse your wife in your presence or even advise you to cheat or take on other wives. It gives appreciation to a normal person.

Buhari did the same with wheat only for the prices to soar. The moment government regulates prices, they actually increase. The alternative will be to reduce import duties and levies. Tinubu did this not long ago and food prices reduced. The other alternative is to flood the market with government reserves. From the same thread, I realise we don't have those fishes within West Africa. So your Marine and Blue Economy strategy has even failed before it commenced. So, what would you suggest now? Regulate the Atlantic ocean?

BTW, good luck dictating to businesses across an ethnically fractured country to reduce their prices.
I won’t teach you common sense. You can’t grasp it like you could not grasp that food prices are regulated round the world to prevent gouging. You don’t even know what you are talking about.

Someone mentioned devaluation of the naira, another mentioned import duties but you blame innocent businesses that have to generate a profit? Then you suggest regulation, please read me clearly, regulation leads to higher prices, not lower. The moment government regulates a service or product, the price increases, not reduces. This is a global phenomenon.

I really don't know why university educated Nigerians reason poorly than expected.
Some of you that attended the worse universities in the world come online to talk nonsense. Prices are regulated all over the world. Only in Nigeria someone will sell something for 1000% profit and bully their competitors to sell at the same rate. I said what I said. Not everyone on Nairaland is as dumb as you think. Some of us have extensive experience in this things. If you do not regulate prices we see prices like we see in Nigeria. It’s our fellow Nigerians doing us.
