Politics › Why I Refused To Remove Emefiele - President Buhari by 2mercy(op): 3:36pm On Jun 09, 2018 |
President Muhammadu Buhari says he refused to replace Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), when he took over power because he wanted to give him the opportunity to salvage the economy from its “terrible condition”.
Buhari said this on Friday night when he hosted some of his supporters at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The president also insisted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) left the country in ruins, challenging anyone to present any evidence that could contradict his claim.
“I said it is on record and I challenge anybody to check from Europe, United States and Asia that between 1999 and 2014, the 16 years of previous administration there was an average of 2.1 million per day of crude oil at the average cost of 100 dollars per barrel,’’ he said.
On the letter former President Olusegun Obasanjo wrote in January, Buhari said Femi Adesina, his spokesman, was angry over it and wanted to reply Obasanjo “but I stopped him for two reasons; first, he is much younger than me and Gen. Obasanjo. Secondly, I am from the same constituency with Gen. Obasanjo.”
He, however, said Lai Mohammed, minister of information, disobeyed’’ his instruction on not replying the former president but that Mohammed did a good job in the end.
Buhari said the reply by the minister showed Nigerians the realities on ground when the current administration came on board in 2015 and its ongoing efforts to revive the “inherited damaged economy”.
“I really appreciate how you choose this time during Ramadan to come from across the country to see and congratulate me for what we were able to do,” he said.
“We were constrained to explain our position when the former head of state wrote a letter; Adesina was agitated and wanted to immediately reply but I didn’t allow him.
“When Lai Mohammed came, I said he shouldn’t and he insisted. He disobeyed me. He said I must allow him to talk; then, of course, being a professionally information person, I listened to him and asked him what are going to say.
“He said he was going to remind Nigerians where we found ourselves when we came in as a government, where we are now, what we have done in between with the resources available to us… he did a good job because a number of people rang me and said Lai Mohammed has done a good job because I went public in several times.”
The president assured Nigerians that his administration would continue to spend more funds to upgrade the nation’s infrastructural facilities.
He said the government had also expended more than N1.3 trillion on capital projects across the country. https://www.thecable.ng/buhari-refused-remove-emefiele |
Politics › 7 Accusations Obasanjo Threw At Buhari by 2mercy(op): 2:05pm On Jun 09, 2018 |
Obasanjo has accused Buhari of trying to kill him. Here are 7 ways he put it. Jude Egbas
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has just accused President Muhammadu Buhari of trying to frame him up with corruption charges and lock him up in jail. Here are 7 ways Obasanjo put it:
1. Obasanjo says security chiefs have been leaking information to him
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo said: “Impeccable security sources have alleged Chief Obasanjo’s name is on their Watch List and that the security of his life cannot be guaranteed.
“According to these informants, many of who are in the top echelon of the Nation’s security management and close to the corridors of power, the operatives are daily perfecting how to curtail the personal liberties of the former President and hang a crime on him”.
2. The people leaking information to Obasanjo don’t talk carelessly
Obasanjo said; “ordinarily, we would not have dignified these reports with a response but for the fact that many of these informants are not known for flippant and frivolous talks.”
3. Obasanjo says Buhari plans to seize his international passport and lock him up The statement from Obasanjo contains the following paragraph:
“Buhari intends to seize his international passport and clamp him into detention indefinitely, in order to prevent him from further expressing angst on the pervasive mediocrity in the quality of governance, economic management and in the protection of lives and property by the government”.
4. There is a plan B if the seizure of international passport fails
Obasanjo says; “But, since that (seizing of passport) could expose the government to a swath of international condemnation, embarrassment and outrage, it is said that another plot being hatched is to cause the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to re-open investigation into the activities of Chief Obasanjo’s administration using false witnesses and documents. This will be a re-enactment of the Abacha era in which Chief Obasanjo was one of the principal victims".
5. Obasanjo says he’s ready to face the anti-graft agencies over the $16billion spent on power from 1999 to 2007
“For the record, Chief Obasanjo reiterates his readiness to face probe again after that of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the ICPC, and the EFCC, but before an independent, objective and credible panel of enquiry to account for his stewardship in government and beyond”.
6. Obasanjo says Buhari is running a dictatorship that is going after everyone
His words were: “We are currently in a nation where the Number Three citizen is currently being harangued and the Number Four citizen is facing similar threat within the same government they serve.
“There is a groundswell of our nationals that live in fear that they could be hounded, harassed, maimed or even killed as the battle for 2019 takes this worrisome dimension”.
7. Obasanjo says Buhari plans to persecute him
According to Obasanjo: "The same EFCC that had conducted a clinical investigation on the activities of Obasanjo in and out of government, it was said, would now be made to stand down the existing report that gave Chief Obasanjo a clean bill of health on the probes are now to get him indicted, fair or foul for possible prosecution and persecution like it is being done to real and perceived opponents, enemies and critics of this government”. http://www.pulse.ng/news/politics/7-accusations-obasanjo-threw-at-buhari-id8474417.html

I really felt embarrassed as everyone in the banking hall thought I fabricated the story even when I know I was telling the truth don't really know what is happening with the banking system...a man came to complain today at Union bank... he was paid with fake #500.so embarrassing.. the cashier told him he's met to check the note before leaving banking hall. How will I ever think that banks can pay with fake note.oga oo |

Iamajoyfulmothe: Mamas, I want to be a blessing to someone's life this week. God has been good to me and I'm tired of just asking without giving back as much as I should. Is there anyone here who requires any fertility related drug but cannot afford it? Genuinely needs it to combat something serious and also genuinely cannot afford it. I am led to sow 100k into your life. It can go to 1 person or 50k to 2 people. I will pay for the drug before the end of this week by God's grace. Please be sure you truly need it and truly cannot afford it. You can leave a message here and We'll take it from there. [quote author=Roseey0 post=60163169]It a BFP Mamas you are next in line It's raining seriously, it will surely get to everyone. Only time will tell.
WIDD(what I did differently) Took prenatal(5mg folic acid through out the cycle, 50mg×2 B6 after 0) I skipped some days o Did Bitterleaf(Cd 1-10) in july_ I don't know if it contributed to this, but I had all the preg symptoms, AF even delayed but came eventually after some humpy humpy with DH.
I suspected my problems could be more of implantation so I decided to play down on kpekusing after O and be more diligent with B6.
This cycle I took Chinese tea_Xi xian cao and Yi mu Cao Cd1-10 2× daily Cd 6 inserted CleanPoint tampon Removed @ Cd 9 in preparation to BD My fertile periods are CD10-14 as per 24days cycle. Eventually beded on CD12 _ Doggy emphasised this time around. Waited for my period Stopped B6 to know if it's the cause Still no show And finally... Big Fat Positive....
Affliction shall not rise a second time This one will sure End in praise. Mamas you all are next in line Praise the lord for me..
