Then, click through his handle like we do here on nairaland.

Sedo is not a registrar. They are just a market where you sell your domains and you pay them commission for using their platform.

For instance, they are like the biggest market in Abuja where you reside. You don't pay money for the shop or stand where you showcase your wears/ goods. You only pay commission from goods you sold/sell.

Registrars are namecheap, godaddy, 007names, nameboy, crazydomains etc.

Domain Market place are : Sedo, Afternic, Moniker, Domainlore, GreatDomains, etc

I have noticed that most domains he sold, mostly .com, already had other extension taken which indicates a level of value. I also believe he has a software for spotting this domains which isn't known.

Mikel, when you sell through sedo, what happens is that sedo has an escrow service.

Let me use my domain for example.

Assume the buyer paid, he would pay to Sedo.

Here is how it works

STAGE 1
ME or Domain ===>SEDO<=== BUYER's MONEY

Stage 2- how you receive your payment.

Within you Sedo Cpanel, you have 2 payment options-paypal or wire transfer.

If the buyer paid, I would have used wire transfer to recieve my cash from Sedo after they have deducted their commission.
