This what happens when politicians and other public servants serve into their bank accounts instead of serving the people that voted them into power!

Were Amaechi and Wike contesting for any legislative post on Saturday?

What happened in Rivers State has nothing to do with salaries of Legislators rather it was a clash of power between APC with their Federal might and PDP supported by the populace.
seems you dont understand sarcasm, and yes it has everything to do with what they get,if they don't get anything from being lawmakers there won't b violence.

At least everybody now knows Buhari was, is and will always be empty.
So tomorrow, nobody will come and say the man would have rescued Nigeria if voted into power.

He will forever be remembered as the Nigerian president with the enviable record of failing as a military dictator and also failing as a democratic president.

Why do you pple talk like blind rats

Why is there a re-run in rivers state??
Is it not because of the electoral violence that occurred in the previous election which was held when that drunk called jonathan nd his beastly wife patience was still jn power
Why didn't you blame jonathan for that

So before you open your shit hole nd produce shit like you did before, THINK.

he didn't mention Ameachi neither did he mention Wike, he only asked a reasonable question.

It has everything to do wit salaries cos they are fighting for what will come into their pockets.

The man is on point....if the legislators salaries in nigeria are cut down..let me assume, a million naira, the craze for these government positions won't be as they are now and the means for funding cultist and thugs will obviously nt be there.

YES....is my answer.

This oyinbo is missing the point here....as far as this rivers rerun is concerned it was for ego and not the money.

APC wanted to prove by all means that they are relevant in River state. That is why a certain minister will leave his office in Abuja and be making headlines where he has no business.

This matter was all about ego for wike and amaechi, and unfortunately the self-styled lion of whatever has been reduced to a lizard by the people.

Amaechi is not smart. pride and ego has brought disgrace to him in this rerun. A smart chap would stair clear of the election so that any asparant who losed would be on his or her own. But no, he wanted to prove he is still somebody in rivers

But why is it that people castigate INEC when politicians are not playing according to the rule of the game..they hire thugs who carry guns up & down yet many want INEC to perform magic . Even a whole Governor was threatening fire & brimstone yet people blame INEC ..I think this is very unfair to that body

All of you are funny sha!!!

You all left the topic of discuss and started pointing fingers at amechie, buhari, PDP.

This man was actually asking a core question, but you are all acting like easily distracted and politically blinded foooools.

The problem is not about amechi, wike or buhari; it is about the millions of dollars received by legislooters every year.

If the huge monthly pay is cut to 1/3rd, this violence will cease without delay.
its so unfortunate that the mentality of some Useless Nigerians (with no apologies) has so degenerated to nothingness. How can such a Million Dollar question be ignored by these frustrated and blindfolded vagabonds who, instead of reading mean to it, choose to start talking trash about a man who has achieved a feat their ancestry couldn't nd won't ever achieve. Is so disheartening how mentally deranged most Nigerian youths have become all because of stupid UNPARTICIPATORY-political-party affiliation. Sometimes I'm forced to feel self-alienated and ASHAMED amidst Nigerians. See!! Until we begin to face FACTS and not pretend, WE AIN'T HEADED NOWHERE!!! #TeamNeutral #TeamGoodGovernance #Peace

This is why we remain a third world country. Why are Nigerians so myopic? He asked a simple question and the responses given here are just ridiculous. Who determined the outrageous remuneration received by these ungodly senators and reps? Young fools will not question that but throw their lives away in Rivers state defending people who use them like rags.

Think for the future. If you think you would support corruption today so that you can eat the crumbs offered by these politicians, what about your children? Will they still struggle through corruption or Will they enjoy a government that makes life and livelihood easy for them?

Today, if a group of young people raise placards to protest the obscene largess shared in the national assembly, tomorrow you'd find a more formidable group of young thugs prancing around abuja supporting the status quo. Misguided people. We are too greedy for what we would eat today.
