this Nigerian brand of democracy stinks to the high heavens, we were never mature for independence neither were are we mature for democracy, it's just that the military was plainly stupid and lacked national spirit when they had the chance.
Re: Saraki, Dogara Hire 282 Aides by OteDOLLAR(m): 9:55am On Mar 24, 2016
The aide's are not enough jhor.

Afterall, Government na industry, and aide na job.
But I'll appreciate if they are all paid minimum wage!

Saraki, Dogara are patriots for creating employment in d Government industry, bt those aide's need to be paid minimum wage!

Iam_AB says so.

How can we develop when no one wants to work? Political patronage is the number one reason for corruption in Nigeria. In my opinion 60% of people working for the government are retards. Unfortunately they are the most comfortable.

You hit the nail on the head. A director at the ICT center in my university was askin why we need to deploy Cisco switches in a campus network. He simply does not know. He got there on the basis of number of years he's spent in service, doing nothing.

It is well
Nigerian cant be great, the nation is fundamentally designed not to be great and it wouldn't be ,it has been eternally structure by the Nigeria elite and their capitalist friends to perpetually provide maximum comfort and happiness to their families and friends. This not about ibo, ijaws Yoruba or hausa....is a silent war between greedy elite across all divides of the nation ganging up against the long suffering Nigerian masses of all ethnic group.
poverty ,deprivation, lack and hopelessness are not an exclusive preserve of any ethnic group but a grand conscious design by the Nigerian elitist state to help enforce this divide for optimum benefit of few

cbn secret employement, the firs secret employement and a bunch of hangers on called special assistance place on salary higher than that of a professor of physic after tutoring for decade shaping the future generation
The Nigerian public elite and their friends have a thing in common....the ward school in best school locally and internationally...google school fess of British international school lekki ,with a price tag of 40 thousand dollar peranum this sum could settle several university graduate as start up grant
the secret employment of their ward to the most juicy government agency at a tender age of 23 as per foreign or private university graduating age is for them to succed their parent in gain influence over our future earning as a state
this newly secretly employed elite kids ...hausa ,ibo, yoruba, ijaws will be next governors ,deputy governors senior mangers of the central bank in 20 year time
the generational class war has begun by the elite as they get old while the kids of the poor and unconnected will join police constable ,inspector cadre, recruit soldiers and other low financially reward careers which will only guarantee ,survival meals ,poor housing miserable retirement and kids to join the dynasty of poverty
the Nigeria police recruitment is out ....no elite kid will apply for constable, inspector but some few elite with long time vision of their kids as future i.g, digs aig, will put their kid forward..

Education is suppose to be the easiest ways of transferring wealth across all humans and lifting family out of poverty but in Nigeria state those lifted out of poverty by education in the early 50 now gang up as elite to perpetuate their lineage in luxury..
yaradua father was a minister in the first republic ,,son vice president, son president, grandson minster of defence

By this statement, you are promoting and justifying corruption, do you know the negative effect of corrupt practices on nigerians, the future of unborn Nigerians has been devoured.Only few people benefits from corrupt practices, but majority bears the brunt.

Sometimes when I think about our country, It keeps me up late at Night. I wonder how our so called "leaders" obey the rule of law outside the country but as soon as they are on Nigerian soil, they don't care. I wonder why they are so comfortable with the Nigerian masses living in abject squalor. Do they not care that they are destroying the only place we can really call home for future generations

I wonder why in this day and age, corruption has eaten so deep into the core and why it only seems Africans are generally the ones that display a lot of this traits. Western countries also have some corruption but their institutions are strong enough to snuff it out. Granted, some of this issues in Africa and Nigeria in particular can be traced to the influence of western imperialism, but its been more than 50 years now. Why can't we get it right?

I wonder how we can be blessed with so much resources beneath our feet but struggle to harness it. I look at the scriptures and wonder if there is a curse placed on the black man from the old days. What can be so difficult about a country government providing electricity, good roads, good justice system, free and fair elections, strong public universities

I wonder if we practice the right form of government, is democracy truly for Nigeria, is a benevolent dictator what we need or perhaps democratic socialism. How do we stop the previous generations from feeding the younger ones with the post war hate and cancerous corruption which seeks to consume everything good in this country

I wonder why when we have domestic issues, our leaders run to chatham house in UK or brookings institution in the US, if we need money we don't look at how we can increase our IGR, instead we look to loans from the world bank or IMF.

The IMF and world bank have been loaning money for decades, which of the countries that they gave money to has improved, which of those countries can be called 'developed'

I look at PMB and wonder how a man who was head of state in the 80s can come back now to "bring change". Is it any surprise that AKPD a political consulting firm run by David Axlerod, former adviser to President Obama. There is nothing wrong with working with a consulting firm but they tried to keep it quiet and Axlerod has close ties to the current US administration. Isn't that indirect meddling in our democracy by the white house, another name for it would be regime change. In this case GEJ went quietly.

Are we truly an independent country and can we really get rid of corruption. Western countries are forever happy with the status quo as long as they get the raw materials to live well but for those of us who hunger to see a greater Nigeria, what are we willing to sacrifice to make it so?

The pendulum swings both ways, maybe one day it will swing in favour of Nigeria.

the long suffering Nigerian has been over battered psychologically, traumatized by poverty ,nepa ,bad road robbers, kidnapping unemployment ,hunger ,fuel scarcity to be able to think straight talk less of been patriotic to a Nigeria design to serve the elite and their friends....the pendulum is only in their court and swings just in their directions
