1- Customers will complain, though, no matter how hard firms try to meet or exceed their expectations. Sometimes, the complaint is in the form of a suggestion and simply reflects an opportunity to improve the experience. In other instances, the complaint represents a service or product failure.

2- How to respond to customer complaints

- Listen carefully to the complaint
- Acknowledge the customer’s feelings
- Determine the root cause of the problem
- Offer a solution
- Gain agreement on the solution and communicate the process of resolution
- Follow up, if appropriate
- Record the complaint and resolution

Nice one

When a customer complains, that means they care enough to provide a feedback.
So, that is a good thing in a way.
