Salam Alaikum Although muslims are known for burying their dead ones almost immediately after their death,why, & what is the islamic view on keeping a dead body in mortuary for a long time, Does islam accept cremation? |

Alaika- Cremate meaning burning a corpse to ashes is unislamic, this is the practice of the pagan. Reason and why the dead should be hurriedly buried. Sahih Bukhari, number 649 Narrated Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) who said from the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) who said 'Hurry up with the dead body, if it was righteous, you are forwarding it to the good; and if it was otherwise, then you are getting off an evil thing down off your necks' mortuary for the purpose of autopsy should be done as soon as possible other than for autopsy, mortuary is unislamical and mind you, are tormenting the dead if he is a righteous one |
