Italian Pundit Labels Osimhen The Biggest Flop In Serie A, More Than Ex-Spurs Star Eriksen

Italian football pundit Marcello Chirico has ripped into Victor Osimhen, labeling the Napoli striker the biggest flop in the Italian Serie A at the moment, more than ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen who has struggled since moving to Inter Milan.

Chirico believes the Nigeria international has not justified the hefty fee that could rise to around 80 million euros Napoli paid Lille to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.

Despite having a hand in three goals (2 goals, 1 assist) from his six appearances in the Italian top-flight, Chirico has insisted that Osimhen has not been up to scratch.

There were high hopes surrounding the signing of the 2015 U17 World Cup winner by Napoli after making his mark at Lille with 18 goals over the course of 2019-2020.

[s]"Everyone says that Eriksen was the biggest flop of the championship for now. agreement. For me the great disappointment is represented by Victor Osimhen," Chirico told 7 Gold (via Area Napoli).

"They portrayed him as a top player. They paid a lot for him, but it doesn't seem to me that he is doing great things, on the contrary ... "
[/s]
Osimhen is unlikely to be available for selection when Napoli face AC Milan on Sunday after dislocating his shoulder while on international duty.

Guys do you agree with this..because I dont

The guy needs to take a mental health test
After 2 goals and 1 assist in just 6 matches in a completely new league, We are not even in quarter season. no wonder e dey unknown

Guy, you dont grab, do you?

Its not about the turf alone, its all about the result,

lemme ask you a question, if as a country got beaten in a fine natural grass field away from home, even thought you had that same turf at home, if you discover that your opponent struggle in an artificial turfm and you had such at home too

which turf will you play ur home game against them, natural or artificial?

Ans my question first,is it bad if Nigeria have at least two standard football pitch?

Who do you think the potato farm in Benin favoured between Nigeria and Sierra Leone?

This club will revolutionize Nigerian football.
They have made Eguavon head of their academy.
Things like this will make our football grow not the over reliance on foreign born players.

It's hard to accept but Osimehn transfer fee would always be used to judge him, my prayer is for him to adjust as soon as possible.

Of course but saying Osimhen is the biggest flop in Seria A in comparison to Eriksen with no goal contribution in 5 matches is a little biased

I'm not a special fan of osimhen in anyway, but 2goals and an assist in 6 games and he is called a flop. That journalist is really crazy.

Abraham selfish player ,you had the chance to pass but you didn’t and now Werner was in same position and gave you a lovely pass and you scored

Every player should be learning from Lionel Messi most times

Didn’t you see the lovely pass from Werner to him where he scored ,if Werner has behaved like him there will be no goal

Lets not make a mistake here. Club footie and National team footie are 2 different things. In the former. You have the luxury of getting to see your players both in training and on the field of play week in, week out. In the case of the Latter, you are expected to be a chef that works based on available resources at your disposal of which the key element is time spent with your team.

Pitso will thrive with club football. National team football? I am not so sure. He has coached bafana before and I dare say he didnt do so much there.

That's ridiculous. Being at a club gives everyone a chance to see what u are about. Which national team coach does anyone see as the best in the world? Can Martinez in Belgium get any gigs in the EPL right now? No, not good enough. The best national team coaches come from clubs.

Why are u bringing up his South Africa experience? How many years ago was that? How many trophies has he won since then?
