Off topic. One of my biggest what ifs is Yannick Bolasie and his tragic injury. IMO he could have been up there with the Mane's and Salah's. Man was a baller

Bolasie good winger YES

But up there with salah and mane if not for that tragic ? Hell NO

A good winger with low assist and low goals can’t be up there with salah and mane ,salah and mane has been banging goals and assist before 28 and same can’t be said of Bolasie before Everton move

His best move was joining Everton at age 28 but no thanks to injury

Olise passport has just been completed not quite long. smiley
Can he still make the team?
If this was the case, Rohr should have waited a little before calling kalu's replacement, though onyekuru is a good one.

There has been a change in the system of team selection in the SE right now it not like before when CF will be injured and be replaced by a CB, olise will make the team if only a midfielder is injured or we have to wait for the subsequent match.

Left-footed SPAL central defender Malik Owolabi-Belewu has pledged his international future to Nigeria though he is eligible to represent his country of birth, England and Canada.

The 2002-born Owolabi-Belewu has trained with Canada's U15, U16 and U19 national teams in the past and was called up for a Nigeria U17 training camp last year but did not attend due to club commitments.

The promising center back has revealed that he has opted to represent Nigeria because of his mother and predicted that the country will be a world football superpower in the coming years.

"Apart from Nigeria I'm able to play for England and Canada, but I chose Nigeria because I've grown up in the Nigerian tradition and culture, and my mother was born in Nigeria as well as lived there," Owolabi-Belewu said to allnigeriasoccer.com.

"So I feel it's a way for me to give her something back for all the sacrifices she's made for me to be able to get to where I've wanted to get to.

"On top of those reasons Nigeria have a lot of up-and-coming talents and I feel in the next coming years they can really be a squad that does well in the World Cup as well as doing well in the Africa Cup of Nations as it does right now.

"I feel like we can really be a strong team in the next two to three years, dominating World Cups and international tournaments."

Owolabi-Belewu was a non-playing substitute for SPAL's first team when they faced Bari and Crotone in the Coppa Italia this season.

Honestly, Injury is really a b*tch. Denies some really genuine talents the chance to have a truly fantastic career in the beautiful game.

Belgian club KV Kortrijk may soon cash in on another “top transfer” by Terem Moffi, according to various media reports.

Moffi, 21, has been one of the revelations of the French Ligue 1 and the media have tipped him to make another major transfer before long with Kortrijk to pocket 20% of this.

Moffi spent less than six months at Kortrijk, who got eight million Euros when they sold him to Ligue 1 club FC Lorient in the summer.

The all-action striker signed a contract for three years with option for an additional year, but Lorient may now cash in big time on his superlative displays in France.

SCORENigeria can exclusively report that Olympique Marseille were among the top clubs who asked after him before his transfer to France.

Moffi, who is on the Super Eagles standby list for AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho, has scored 10 goals thus far including a match winner against champions PSG.

Not trying to be "bad belle". I'm a true Super Eagles fan. But has Micheal Olise come out to say he will play for Nigeria? He has always maintained he wanted to play international football for France for the sake of continuity. Just because Rohr invited him doesn't mean he has now become a Super Eagles international. Just saying.

Oh boy, I no go mind if Rohr commot one of those his extra defenders and put Olise o. It's a MIRACLE that that boy agreed to play for us and France allowed it. Maybe it's because their squad is already over studded with stars but we know how greedy these European countries can be with securing dual nationality players especially those with a glimmer of promise. They don't mind calling him, playing him for three minutes and them dumping him being rest assured that he can't go nowhere. The case of Fikayo Tomori should teach us how unscrupulous these people can be.

If Rohr allows this opportunity to slip past, he has himself to blame.

Even if he is slightly above average, he would still be better than those bang average clowns and carpenters we have masquerading as creative/ attacking midfielders....Etebo et al. Our team is so bereft of creativity in the middle that we have to rely solely on long balls from the back. And we have seen how ineffective and boring that pattern can be especially against fairly good teams like Algeria. That is why we need Olise.

Until we get good playmakers, our game pattern will remain the eyesore that it currently is. Long pass and InshaAllah.
