Iwobi with a beautiful Solo run into a sea of Cam legs. Wins a freekick.

I wish Nacho was onfield now.

But....

Simon takes it and it's deflected for a corner. Chance gone.

Cameroon as played nothing in this second half and they don't even look pressured, just playing calm.

I hate it when people are satisfied with mediocrity, especially when we are on the same side. I dream to watch Nigeria lift the world cup someday, and if you don't share the same dream, then you shouldn't be making this kind of comment.

Our players should be working hard everyday to improve themselves, to be the best in the world. Ronaldo may not have been the most talented, but he worked his way to become a legend. That's the kind of person I am, and those are the kind of people I want the SE players to emulate. The only ones I can see that are really showing drive for improvement are Osimhen, Ndidi, Aribo, Okoye and a few others. Justlook back and see where these guys have come, compared to their peers in the same team.

Hmmmm.... you call it mediocrity. I call it what it is. And that is comparing ourselves with others. You say our players should work hard and they have been doing that but still it won't be enough. It will never be enough. You forget that Europeans have tailored the game of football around their own interests. Even the officiating of the game is in the same way. I dont have anything against striving for excellence. What I have a beef with is not appreciating what we have. You cannot be equating our players who have struggled to be where they are with a privileged white European or born and bred European. Many of us think these things are easy. We all think the reason some of our players are on the bench is cos they are not good enough. We never question the rationale behind the decision of the coaches to leave them out on Match days . I wish I could type all that I have in mind but it is late. 2nd of all, why am I convincing you? You probably have your mind made up on the issue. And you are very correct. Sir Basco should help me in driving the message home.

All I am saying is let us learn to believe in and to appreciate what we have. This isn't about celebrating mediocrity.
Many thanks

This team is plagued with poor shootings or maybe they haven’t been lucky with their shootings.
