Cape Verde goal keeper saves are top class but when they near our post I fear. Osihmen has shown he is a top player. Doing greatly. Cape Verde will play more from the wings in the second half. This is the time for tactical changes by our coach. Bring in Chukueze or Ejuke to put pressure on their defense. It will be a silly mistake to try to defend for another 45mins

Nigeria vs Carpe Verde and Algeria vs Burkina Faso, fight to finish!

We should have been at least 2 up. Playing really well.

Ighalo did great in the first half.

Does "great" has another definition I am not aware of? Osimhen has been a warrior this first half. He is doing all the work. At least, Ighalo should be on hand to finish and reward Osimhen for the hard work. On the contrary, guy has missed two clear cut chances. He looks heavy and sluggish, and he is not pressing.

They at least created chances. Not accidental chances but real chances. They did pick up a bit but not satisfactorily.

Super Eagles is a Force. We were dreadful at Home but not anymore. If CAR could do it, what would stop Cape Verde from trying it?!

Maduka has never made an impressive save... he could have saved that goal.

He needs to improve.

How I wish the likes of Chukwueze,Ejuke and Aina will start rejecting Rohr's Super Eagles call ups.

DrKlever:
lol Simon had an injury scare, guess who Rohr called up? Yes, Iheanacho. so he wanted to play 3 strikers when Chukwueze and Ejuke is there. If clueless was a person. grin

At least he is better than Ighalo. Which player has Ighalo closed down today? No press, static, now wasting chances on top. At least, even if Onuachu doesn't press and is static, he won't miss chances and he is strong and dangerous in the air.

you're right...

Ighalo should have never gotten a call up and even if he did Ighalo should have respectfully rejected the call up...

I hope Osimhen won't get tired with the way he's been running... especially drifting to the wing...

We won't advance beyond group stage even if we qualify
Gernot rorh should be sack because he has nothing to offer the super Eagle again

No tactics nothing at all

Any time they near our post is either a goal or they missed. The keeper needs to wake up

How many chances did he miss? Guess you missed the chance(s) he created as well? Iheanacho partnered Osimhen few days ago, did we have any attempt on Target?

His Presence adds vibe to the team play. His holdup play and energy are immense.

A 433 with Ejuke, Osimhen and Chukwueze would pressurise Cape Verde's defense and lead to goals.

isan:
Why must rorh play 2 strikers ?

Osimhen is a fighter, heart and soul, man puts on a shift for Nigeria, if he is not scoring, he is running or doing something... give me 7 osimhen, and Nigeria beats any team in Africa.

It is partly Maduka's fault too. When the ball was shot, my guy was already behind the goalline. Even if he saved it, the goal would still have counted because he was already inside his goal. Poor positioning.
