Any new coach must have a track record of WINNING even domestically. What about that Nigerian coach that won a local trophy in Finland league

But he has not won anything and he just resigned from Sunshine after 16 games without a single win.

What is his achievement in CAF and how come he has not won the league before?

Is there another?

In the NPFL the best coaches rarely coach the best teams. We even had Manu Garba coaching an undermanned Gombe United a couple years back.

Rangers played some good stuff in CAF when Ogunbote was there. He might have only gotten out of the group stage once but how many Nigerian clubs make it to the group stage in the first place? I think I will have to take back the numerous CAF outing statement but I believe his biggest moment was that Aiteo Cup comeback against Kano Pillars.

Xavi at Barcelona update.

Saw this video and would like to do a brief insight on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7x1vaY_qT8

Xavi will drill these players until brilliant passing and fluid play becomes second nature.

I think the positioning of Ruqui Puig shows Xavi finds him valuable. He is a young man who gives signs of a brilliant mind.

The coming weeks might reveal a special player in Ruqui. Time will tell.

A Coutinho rejuvenation is also very likely

He has done it twice. If he could do it with Zambia, then with Nigeria, its gonna be an easy ride Job for him.

Renard that spat on NFF the last time they contacted him?

No be him dem been dey proposition to scratch backs wey he say he no dey play that kain ball?

Have you forgotten the scathing remarks he made about the NFF a few years back? Na who you think say go readily give Pinnick and friends face?

The time I wanted Renard, NFF disgraced themselves in his presence and I have given up hope on that end.

Yes, because we know they will be paying that white man with Emma's CV three times whatever they were going to pay Emma, just because he is white.

If you must hire a white man, make it a white man that is worth it. We have enough vulcanizers in Nigeria, why should we go and hire a vulcanizer from Denmark again? No be the same work dem go do?

The World Cup allocation is just so biased. A continent like Africa that has 54 federations are only allocated 5 spot while Europe with 55 Federations are allocated 13 spots. Why wouldn’t Europe be winning these tournaments or doing great when by default, they were allocated many positions. Some people here will now have to effrontery to trivialize an African team that qualifies for world cup knowing how difficult their part is to attain. Can you imagine Europe being allocated only 5 positions Next, som low self esteem son of a prostitute will find a way to defend their Caucasian kings

You want an African team to excel at the world stage, equalize the World Cup allocation, assign an unbiased referee and most likely, an African team will excel at the World Cup. Anything contrary, you will have the usual group stage, R16 or quarter final exit. Let all continents be allocated 5 spot each and the remaining two positions should be contested by a playoff draw

Once a local coach lands like this:

Leon Balogun would be shut out of the team for being so outspoken(you're meant to respect your elders)

Osimhen would become captain of the team for his nonstop ginger and aggression

Rabiu Ali might even get a shot with the team cheesy

We watch cool

Is that how you would run the team, seeing as you would be termed a local coach if you got the job?

I'm not for or against Amunike's appointment but I just want to interrogate the premise of your argument

I remember that interview. Amokachi was so sure that he would become the Super Eagles Coach one day.

Pep Guardiola won with Barcelona B Team before he took charge of first Team.

Zizou was still doing his Badges while with Castilla, he proved himself, got Opportunity to manage first Team and outstandingly did great.

Amuneke managed our U17 successfully but failed with U20. We couldn't even make it to Africa U20 Championship.

He did great with Tanzania during AFCON qualifiers but failed at Tournament proper. He had managed Clubs both locally and within the Continent without positive Records to show for it.

This is not an Argument in support or against, but critically analysing his CV and Experience. As I said many times here already I would go with public Sentiments, if he's appointed, it's cool with me.

Is he the most qualified local Coach for the Job? I doubt it. Basco knows much about local Coaches. He has dropped some Names, but because most of us don't know much about them, we choose to look away.
